Amazing what can happen when you end up speaking to a bunch of strangers in New Dehli. Next thing I know, I was whisked off in a rickshaw to the outskirts of the city and witnessed first hand people of all backgrounds coming together to celebrate Dussehra. This is Jose from Newark, NJ. He collects disguarded plastic bottles and cans across New York City every single day of the week. He gets 5 cents for each bottle or can he brings to the recycling facilities dotted around the city. The thing is, he can't bring more than 240 in total per day. If you do the maths, that's a maximum of $12/day. • Shot on my Nikon F3 (aka the tank) with a 50mm lens.
