Cliff: GOOD. make my life as miserable as you fucking want, my man. as long as you're back in good ol' charming
Cliff: OH I SEE
Cliff: my man's still whipped huh?
Cliff: that's a fucking promise.
Cliff: eh got some lady troubles but that's pretty much 'the norm' now right? dahlia's been teaching me some things that the younger people use now and it confuses me SO much. why can't they just say NORMAL like normal people??
Ben: i'm back for good, my man.
Ben: fuck off...
Ben: we'll get drunk and you can share all your lady troubles with me.. over a glass of wine or some shit like a couple of chicks.
Ben: the day you don't have lady troubles, will be the day hell freezes over.
Ben: normal.. hmm.. i guess it's too long to type or something ?
Ben: don't ask me dude. i'm just as clueless as you when it comes to these young kids.
FEATURING RAFAEL GRAVES
all rafael wanted to do was be with his brothers and sisters. things had gone from bad to worse in a matter of days. martin being killed had broken something in him. martin had been a pillar for the club, someone that could be relied on. hell, martin had visited him when he had been locked up. he was relieved to be stepping into the clubhouse, he was thinking of going to grab himself a beer. at least till his head turned and he nearly froze. only because he had spotted ben who he hadnāt even realized was back in town. of course ben had left town and things between them werenāt the best. his eye brow arched up as his old friend approached and he reached to take the beer,ā shitās a mess,ā he said slowly before popping the cap off the bottle. he went to take a swig and stared at ben for a moment,ā when did you get back?ā he honestly didnāt know if things were ever going to fully be okay between them again. yet there was no denying that he had missed his brother.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Twisting the cap of his own beer and stuffing it into his pocket, Ben quickly looked over his shoulder towards the group of people sharing stories, getting rowdier as more alcohol was downed. This was his family. Martin had been one of them and he had to be avenged, but for now... Theyād drink. His eyes moved back to Rafael and he nodded,Ā āA mess and a halfā He agreed, sighing deeply. As Raf stared at him, Ben couldnāt keep his eyes on him but rather cast his gaze downwards, āI got back a few days agoā He spoke before finally being able to look up,Ā āHad to get some shit in order before I could show my face around here. You and me, man...ā He begun speaking, but took a small pause to take a breath and push his hand through his hair,Ā āWeāve got some shit to talk about, I know. But before any of that...ā He paused again, looking Raf straight in the eye this time,Ā āI just want you to know how fuckinā sorry I amā Heād never been good at apologies, and this one was no different although it meant more than any apology heād ever given. Raf was his brother.Ā Ben was well aware that he shouldnāt have let anything get between them in the first place, but now that it had, he felt a great desire to make things right. Not just because he was obligated to, but because heād missed Raf while on the road, and even before right after heād screwed things up.Ā
FEATURING SAMANTHA MARTINEZ
It was all just so weird. She hadnāt expected to bump into Ben at all, especially not in the state that she was in. They hadnāt really talked about what had happened between them all that much, and seeing him again just reminded her how long ago it has been, how much things have changed since they last saw each other. Sam honestly wished she seemed more presentable but that didnāt seem to be case since she could barely stand on her own two feet without feeling like the world was rotating right in front of her. It was actually kind of funny, if she really thought about it, how much her life had turned to shit just because she couldnāt handle getting her heart broken again. Sarcastic, independent Sam, reduced to a high, drunk, perpetually angry and sarcastic person just because she couldnāt seem to deal with the world sober. She couldnāt help the fit of giggles as they walked outside and she knew that she probably looked a little crazy then, laughing at herself with no explanation, but she knew that that was better than to reduce herself into nothing but tears.Ā
The chill of the night air helped bring her some clarity, though, and she was grateful for Ben as she leaned on him, practically crawling into the cab when it arrived. She didnāt remember much of it, if she was being completely honest. Sam thought she might have even dozed off at one point but she eventually came to, barely remembering opening the door, inviting Ben in, saying hi to Opie and immediately but unsteadily making her way to her refrigerator to get some more booze before Ben could stop her. God, Sam couldnāt help thinking. Iām a fucking mess, and it looked like she wasnāt the only one. Her living room wasĀ strewn with take out containers, empty bottles, some candy wrappers, her pillows on the floor. It looked like she hadnāt cleaned her place in over a week which ā begrudgingly ā was the truth.Ā
āWanna go upstairs?ā Sam asked Ben, solely to get him away from her living room, not waiting for him to follow her as she stumbled her way up the stairs, using the wall as a guide until she came to her bedroom. She took one large gulp of her gin, making her way to the balcony connected to her bedroom, instead of the bed. Sam rested her head on the cool railing of the balcony, her legs crossed underneath her as she closed her eyes forced herself to take a deep breath.Ā āSoāā she started to say, opening her eyes to pat the space beside her, gesturing for Ben to come sit with her.Ā āIf youāre not a figment of my imagination, mind telling me what brought you back?ā Sam slurred.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā When Sam fell into a fit of giggles on their way outside the bar, Ben became certain that taking her home was the right decision. He wanted nothing more than for her to be safe and sound at home, preferably in her bed, sleeping. That's what she needed now... At least according to Ben. What she didn't need, was more alcohol, drugs or loneliness and he was hell-bent on being there for her. These things were on his mind as the silence spread out between them when getting into the cab, on the ride and when they reached Sam's place. How was he supposed to bring up that they needed to talk everything through, when she found herself in this inebriated state? He wasn't even sure it was the right time, with how out of it she seemed.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā When entering her front door, Ben's eyes widened slightly at the sight. The place was a mess, clearly an outwards projection of how Sam was feeling on the inside. When Sam went to get more booze, Benjamin stepped further inside, taking it all in. In all honesty he wanted to tell her to put the bottle down, but who was he to talk? He regularly drowned his own memories with alcohol. When she asked if he wanted to go upstairs, he simply nodded and let her lead the way. This wasn't the Sam he knew. The Sam he'd kissed and slept with. The Sam he'd been certain he'd been in love with. No, this was a shell of the woman he'd once known.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Following Sam out onto the balcony, he took a deep breath of the fresh night air deep into his lungs. When hearing her speak, Ben looked over towards the woman who looked nothing if not fragile in this state. He sat down next to her, pulling out the fresh pack of smokes he'd bought not even an hour earlier and lit one up, while thinking about what to tell her. "I'm back because... Charming's home now" His honest words cut him a little. For years he hadn't believed anywhere could be home, but Charming had become what he didn't think existed. Silence lingered for a little while.
"The club, Ophelia, you... You're all reasons I'm back. While I was out on the road, I just kept thinking what a coward I was being for just running away, after everything that happened between us. You and I we have some things we need to talk about... I just don't think now's the time. Jesus Sam... What are you even on?" He asked, not condescending but more worried. Ben shrugged off his jacket before placing it over Sam's shoulders, "You're better than this... You're stronger than this" His gaze focused on her eyes, wanting to get through to her. He might have gone away, but she was still his friend, so of course he worried.
š
A memory associated with an article of clothing they have.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Youāve been married a year. You and your wife are busy living your lives together, and youāre still very much in the newlywed phase of your marriage. You invited her out on a date to celebrate your first joint day off from work in a while. After dinner you go back to your place and jump into bed, but not to sleep. When you both catch your breath, your wife jumps out of bed and pulls on your high school PE t-shirtĀ āĀ The one you only wear at home. It reaches her mid-thigh and sheās swimming in it. But youāre certain it looks better on her than it ever did on you. She goes to the kitchen to make you guys dessert, leaving you with a sexual innuendo about bananas and you wonder how you ever got lucky enough to have this wonderful, smart and witty woman in your life.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Youāre thirty-nine and youāre a widower. You see the t-shirt in your closet every now and then. The cotton is worn and torn but you canāt get yourself to wear it or get rid of it. Itās just there. The memory of that night, always comes back to you whenever you pull it out. Sometimes it leaves you in tears. Sometimes it leaves you in anger. But no matter what you feel, you always feel grateful for the memories.

LOCATIONĀ āĀ Devilās Disciples club house
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Sitting in one of the uncomfortable couches in the club house, Ben held a cigarette between two fingers, taking a drag every now and then, while he and some of the guys sat around reminiscing about their time with Martin; because despite having to figure out who murdered him in cold blood, the guys needed time to remember the good things too. When getting up from the worn couch to get himself a drink by the bar, his eyes caught movement by the entrance. Flicking his gaze over towards it, Ben stopped in his tracks when his eyes caught Rafaelās. The two hadnāt seen each other since before Ben had left on a bad note, still needing to talk things through and resolve things. Fetching two bottles of beer from the bar, he then let his feet carry him towards the other, nodding as a greeting,Ā āāSup man?ā He spoke, handing one of the beers towards his brother, testing the waters but being well aware they still had things to resolve, but not wanting to jump right in.Ā

Ben: true shit. i'll continue to make your life miserable around you for a long ass while now.
Ben: i've been at lia's.
Ben: i'll be back to the clubhouse later and you can get me drunk.
Ben: how's life been treatin' ya?
FEATURING OPHELIA LAWSON
First, it just started as some sort of kinship. After all, they grew up in the same hometown and so when she moved to Charming, other than her cousins and aunts and uncles, he was the only familiar face she saw. Then that familiarity turned into comfort the more she invited him over for homecooked meals, and the fact that he was living in the clubhouse didnāt really sit well with her, which was how it ended up with him sometimes sleeping over. Charlie had gotten attached to his Uncle Ben, that Lia had allowed herself to just live in fantasy land where she was with someone she obviouslyĀ had the equivalent of a high school crush on and for everything else to not be complicated. She was slapped with reality when he left, though, because it left her reeling with the realization that she had gotten so attachedĀ to him that it was hard for her to find her footing during the first few weeks when he was gone. It was all but forgotten once she heard him call her darling, though, the way she was so used to hearing only him call her.Ā āThereās that smile,ā Lia gently said, looking up at him with complete adoration in her eyes.Ā
They were justĀ friends, though. She knew that. She had accepted that a long time ago, especially since she knew Benās late wife too. It wasnāt hard to see that her death and their sonās death was still eating him up alive up to this day, and she had absolutely no desire to try and āreplaceā her.Ā āYou promise?ā Lia asked softly before smiling as she leaned into his touch as she led the way back inside the house.Ā āHeās just doing a bit of homework. I told him he had to finish all it before he could watch TV, but heās going to be so happy to see you,ā she said, shooting Ben an encouraging smile before leading him towards theĀ kitchen where she found Charlie sitting on the dining table, his back to them as he was busy writing.Ā āHey, bud?ā Lia said, gesturing for Ben to keep quiet so they could surprise him.Ā āLook what just got dropped off at our doorstep,ā she teasingly said, taking her phone out so she could take a video of Charlieās reaction, and not one second to lose because Charlie immediately put his pencil down, turned around and almost barreled right into Benās arms.Ā āUncle Ben!āĀ
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā The way Lia looked at him, made Ben feel like he could do and conquer anything. She had become his rock, the one he could depend on; not that heād ever admit that. Because they were just friendsĀ after all. Could one really depend that much on a person who was justĀ a friend? Ben tried his best to not think about their whole situation too much, since more often than not it made him feel guilty. Like he was doing something to dishonor his wifeās memory, especially since the two women had known each other back in the day. Other times it drove him to the bottle. Often Ben drank to forget, but other rare times he drank to try and remember. Remember his late wifeās lips and his sonās eyes. Because as the years passed, the more Ben felt like he forgot and the more the guilt piled on. But right here and right now, as he held Lia in his arms and felt her heat against his body, he was happy.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āI promiseā He said with conviction, while the smile still lingered on his lips. Benjamin nodded his head as they walked through the house, unable to let go of the feeling that this felt more like home, than anywhere heād actually lived since losing his wife. Hearing Lia speak to her nephew, Ben was well aware she had her own struggles, with having lost her sister and having to raise Charlie, and Ben was constantly in awe of how strong of a person she was. Keeping quiet as she spoke to the kid was a feat in itself, but when Charlie turned, the joy on both their faces was clear. Bending down on one knee, he managed to do so just before Charlie came flying in his arms; not very unlike the way Lia had earlier.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āHey kiddo!ā Ben exclaimed, grabbing Charlie under his arms and raising him up in the air as though he weighed nothing. Hugging the small frame to his own, Ben couldnāt avoid feeling like heād finally returned to where he belonged. Of course, he belonged to the club first. No doubt about it, but Lia and Charlie were the home, stability and love he needed when away from the club, but didnāt feel like he deserved.Ā āWhat are you working on for school, Charlie?ā Ben asked while still holding him in his arms. When the younger begun talking a million miles a minute, Benās eyes moved to Lia and he couldnāt keep the smile at bay. It felt like home. āHow about you go watch TV, while me and your aunt catch up?ā He placed Charlie back on the floor, knowing full well heād just screwed up Liaās plan to make him do homework before watching TV, but that was how things tended to be between them. Lia made the plans and Ben screwed them up, one way or another.
Benjamin Miller at Charmingās Masquerade BallĀ !
FEATURING OPHELIA LAWSON
Lia knew that she should be mad. She should be absolutely furiousĀ because of how much she had come to depend on Ben for keeping her sane and for making her happy, for letting Charlie get used for him only for him to leave them behind. The level of comfort she felt with him had only been comparable to when she had been with Brian and so when he left her and Charlie, she felt completely inconsequential, like she and everything theyād gone through together had been so easily discarded. It took her a few days from him leaving to remind herself that above all else, she just wanted Ben to be happy. After everything heād been through, he definitely deserved that and if he needed to go off by himself to reach for that happiness, she canāt fault him for that, and all she really wanted was to have her best friend back. It was why when she opened that door, there was no semblance of anger left in her body, just pure elation to see him again.Ā āYouāre here!ā Lia practically screeched, but she felt like she was about to burst out of absolute happiness. She didnāt even feel any shame at the fact that she jumped up and wrapped herself around him, relishing in his closeness, realizing just how much she had missed him while he was gone.Ā āWelcome home, honey,ā Lia whispered after she left a lingering kiss on his cheek, the awe and relief that he was actually here evident in her voice.Ā āYou have no idea just how much I missed you,ā she admitted quietly. āPleaseĀ tell me youāre here to stay now?ā Lia asked, looking up at him with wide eyes.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā As soon as he could gauge her reaction a smile spread across Benās lips. There was no doubt that heād missed the woman, but he hadnāt want to get his hopes up in case Lia had decided he wasnāt worth her time.Ā āYup, Iām hereā He spoke dropping his hand from his neck to be able to catch the woman who went flying into his arms. Wrapping both arms around her to hold her up, the smile he was wearing nearly split his face in half.Ā āThanks darlingā He whispered back, enjoying the feel of her lips on his cheek. The pairās pet names for each other made them sound like an old married couple. Truth was, they had never even slept together. There had been that one kiss before heād left town but while being out on the road, Ben had come to the conclusion that it hadnāt actually happened. It mustāve been the alcohol heād consumed that made him think it had.Ā āIāve missed you too. So muchā Benās truthful words were spoken quietly as he pressed his forehead against hers.Ā āIām here to stayā The admission came easily. He never wanted to leave Lia or the club again, wanting to make sure this last trip out of time would be the last one out of town, without Lia at his back or the club on the road next to him.Ā āIām not leaving you againā His words were soft as he put her down again, pushing some hair out of her face and smiling with so much love written all over his face.Ā āNow, whereās Charlie? I need that little rascal know Iām back to bother himā Ben laughed as he kept his arm around Liaās shoulders and moved them into her house, making sure to kick the door shut behind them.

FEATURING SAMANTHA MARTINEZ
Location: La Luna
With: Benjamin Miller
@benjaminmillerā
Sam had already been high once she stepped into La Luna, but she didnāt care as she ordered shot after shot. She didnāt care that some people were side eyeing her. She didnāt care that she didnāt have a ride home. As of this point, Sam just did not give a flying fuck about anything and everyone, and that included herself. She might as well make herself feel good while she was going through a tough time and if that meant downing yet another shot when the room was already spinning, then so be it. Being crossfaded wasnāt something she had been since long before Rafael got out and as she hopped off her seat to head to the bathroom, she stumbled over her own feet and fell into somebodyās arms.Ā
Great, Sam thought as she straightened herself up. Wordās gonna go around that I was so drunk, I threw myself at the first stranger she could find, she thought before freezing once she realized who it was. It couldnāt beā¦. right? Youād think her being high would conjure up RafĀ but instead, she was here having hallucinations about Ben?Ā āYou⦠youāre not really here, right? You⦠you canāt be. Youā I mean, you left,ā Sam slurred over her words as she poked his cheek with her finger. Seemed solid enough, so maybe she wasnātĀ hallucinating? Who the hell knew at this point, she thought as her eyebrows furrowed.Ā āBenny Boo? Youāreā¦. youāre really here?ā She asked, her voice small.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ben had come back into town earlier that day and spent most of it with Lia. It was incredible how easy it was to fall back into old habits. Heād gone out to the grocery store to pick up a pack of smokes and something sweet, when heād overheard it. Having been perusing the two-for-one sale on packs of cookies, a couple were talking loudly about Samantha and Rafaelās very public and very intense break-up at the club house. Ben knew that no matter what had happened between himself and Sam, heād always be her friend and knowing the woman well he knew that in a time like this, she needed a friend more than anything.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā After texting Lia to let her know heād be back to her place later than expected, Ben stopped by La Luna in order to ask around for Sam. What he hadnāt been expecting, was to catch her drunken ass as she stumbled out of her seat. With a smile on his lips, Ben hoisted her up from his arms and placed her back on her feet while not removing his arms from around her.Ā āI did leave, yesā He spoke with a chuckle but before he could continue, Sam was poking his cheek. It was then he had an inkling that she might be under the influence of something other than just alcohol.Ā āYes, Iām really here. And I believe itās time to get you out of here ā Cāmon Sammy. You should not be out in public in this stateā He wasnāt talking about her heartbroken state, but more her current very high and very drunken state.Ā āCome on. You need fresh airā He spoke, keeping an arm around her to keep her on her feet while forcing her to walk towards the exit.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā As they reached the sidewalk outside La Luna, Ben looked up and down the street, cursing the townās tiny cab company for not putting cabs outside of the bar. Turning towards Sam, he grabbed her by the shoulders and looked her in the eyes.Ā āIām getting an Uber and then Iām taking you home and putting you in bed. Okay?ā Ben wasnāt used to being the one to take care of others, but on his ride he had realized he had to begin to take more responsibility. That included helping a fucked up Samantha home. He pulled out his phone and ordered the car, but made sure to never let go of Sam, in case she might trip and fall again.Ā
FEATURINGĀ āĀ @lia-lawsonā
LOCATIONĀ āĀ Liaās house
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Having been out on the road for a good while now, Ben was happy to return to Charming and the club. Yet as he rode into town, the first stop he made wasnāt the clubhouse where heād be staying until he could get his act together and find his own place. No, it was Liaās house. Ophelia Lawson. The woman had been a big part of Benās life before he left. Before he had fucked everything up. This time away had been needed for the man to get his head on straight and be reminded of what held importance in his life, but that didnāt make him feel any less guilty for leaving Lia and Charlie without much of an explanation. With the rumble of his bike beneath him Benjamin pulled up to the familiar house and turned off the engine. A part of him was hoping she would welcome him back with open arms, while another part feared her anger. Was she even home? Trudging towards the door, Ben prepared himself for the worst and let out a deep sigh as he rang the doorbell. Before he skipped town, he wouldāve just let himself in but in this case it didnāt seem appropriate. When the door swung open, Ben raised his hand awkwardly,Ā āHiā The greeting was lame and he knew it, but what else could he say? He placed his hand on the back of his neck, massaging it gently trying to come up with an explanation as to why heād left, but he wasnāt sure what to tell her without hurting her feelings.Ā

BENJAMIN MILLER ⢠39 ⢠DEVILāS DISCIPLES MEMBER & SECURITY AT ACE OF SPADES CASINO
Gender: Cis male
Pronouns: He/him
Face Claim: Jake Gyllenhaal
Length of stay in Charming: Ten years, with intermittent stays out of town.
Trigger warnings: Death, car accident
+ decisive, loyal, honest - careless, irascible, melancholic
How do you feel about the Devilās Disciples and the Wicked Wolves?
He lets out a small breath before answering. Itās not really that complicated a question, but it stirs a battle within him. āThe Disciples are my family. Thereās no doubt about that. I would do anything for my brothers and sisters. But just like with any other family, mistakes are made and Iām trying to rectify one of those mistakes as soon as possibleā The answer gives a little, but leaves everything else vague. Ben might be a little careless at times, but the club comes first and heās not about to spill club secrets. āI think the Wolves are a necessary evil. That doesnāt make me like them any more. But the situation is a delicate one, and itās being handledā
Whatās the most important thing to you?
āThe clubā The answer rolls of his tongue with ease. Benjamin has his issues and has been through his fair share of nightmares, but the Disciples gave him his life back. Something heās forgotten every now and then throughout the years, but is trying to keep a hold of this time around. Heās just come back to town after being out on the road for a while, clearing his head and from his time away, heās been reminded that the club is the constant he needs in his life, and everything else comes second.
What are you most scared of?
He laughs in the face of the person asking the question, which might seem odd but if you knew Ben, youād know that he does this to mask his emotions. Having lost his son and wife in a car accident just as life was at its peak, heās certain nothing can ever scare him as much as facing the loss of someone you love so greatly. As the laughter subsides, he takes a deep breath and shrugs, still with a small smile lingering on his lips āIāve already experienced my worst nightmares come true. All Iāll say is that my fears are few and Iām not going to go blabbing about them to a complete strangerā But as the silence descends, he admits his biggest fear to himself. Being alone.
If you could have a million dollars right now, what would you do with it?
The answer comes easy, even though he knows it wonāt ever happen, āIād fix up my bike. Do all the upgrades Iāve been wanting to do for the longest time. Then Iād probably buy a house, since living at the club house isnāt a long term solutionā He chuckles before shrugging āEnjoy having money for once in my life. Probably take ride up the coast and filling my tank up all the way, when needed. Not this half a tank bullshit Iāve been pulling latelyā He shakes his head, āIt can be fun to dream, every now and then. But we need to be careful not to get lost in our dreams. Iām happy where I am. Thatās good enough for meā
