Experiments with dangerous computer virusses and hostile extraterrestrials in the same building: what could go wrong?

Chapter 1 of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future:
OG image by Nyazsche, I just drew over it
Blame @pearlribbons for this
poor mans was so confused
This is going to be very niche I think. I just finished the book Our Wives Under The Sea and I replayed Professor Layton and the Lost Future for the umpteenth time this week. And I can't help but think about how Claire's final words to Hershel could also be a conversation that Miri and Leah would have had.
"We had so many plans for the future. You won't forget, will you? Our shared past. And our... lost future." "You can't go. I don't want to say goodbye again. I can't! I won't!"
Throughout the entire book Miri and Leah are looking back at their shared memories - "shared past" - and trying to find a way to accept that they won't make any more - "lost future".
That last sentence by the professor is something that I think applies to Miri as well: she had already said goodbye to her wife and had tried to come to terms with her death already. Now she has to go through that again while Leah fades away - just as Claire did.
I'm not crying, you are.
okay this was my unhinged TedTalk thank you bye

Woman drives up her partner's water bill
He's such a bitch oh my god
Okay but you know what else is super funny?
Professor Layton is often described as being attractive and has multiple people crushing on him. If he were in a college anime there’d be a harem club dedicated to him.
But this is the style he’s drawn in.
Meanwhile Phoenix Wright looks like the stereotypical hot anime boy that you’d think would be the object of many a person’s dreams…
But his looks are constantly ridiculed and insulted and half the people he has helped don’t even remember his name. Usually the insults are directed at his hair but like… he doesn’t even have the weirdest hair in the franchise.
Like this is so funny to me?

my second contribution to the professor layton fandom
What I feel people frequently forget about autistic special interests is that they aren't always information based. They may simply be visual or mental
Someone may have a special interest in a show, but instead of that meaning that they will talk about that show often, it may mean they watch that show extremely frequently.
Special interests are ways of regulating, not simply encyclopedias we have in our heads. Sometimes it's watching something frequently. Maybe only listening to one genre of music, maybe it's a collection, maybe it's an action. I'm tired of it only being seen as autistic people's personal encyclopedias
A Series of Unfortunate Events AU where the Baudelaire siblings (after however many tragedies you like) are taken in by the Addams family. This one sticks. Count Olaf is dead within two days of showing up.
‘I don’t want to vaccinate my child because they might end up autistic’
Science and common sense aside, we need to talk about how the hatred for autistic people runs so deep people would rather their child die of a preventable disease than be like us.

"Want misschien is dat wel waarom mensen met elkaar praten. Niet om antwoorden te krijgen, maar om vragen te delen. Omdat sommige vragen aan alle antwoorden voorbijgaan. Omdat sommige vragen te erg zijn om in je eentje te dragen."
