Canoeing Lesson // Ben and Beth
Beth smiled. “Yeah you’re getting the hang of it. I told you it wasn’t that bad.” The afternoon sun bounced off the blue water, making the lake glitter. “It’s kinda relaxing isn’t it?”
Once they got close to the middle of the lake Beth put her oar down, letting the boat float. She stretched her legs and waited for Ben to do the same thing so they could rest and just talk. “Now that I’ve got you out here all to myself,” she joked. “Tell me more about you.”
Ben hummed his agreement, the picturesque scene around them relaxing him in a way he wouldn't have been able to achieve back home. He noticed Beth get more comfortable after letting the boat drift, and stretched out as well.
"Not too much to tell, honestly. I'm a pretty simple guy." Ben replied, stretching his arms to the side of the boat and lifting his face toward the sun. "What about you, Miss Canoe Extraordinaire? Got any more talents up your sleeve?"
