    “Well you see…” Another pause from the nurse. She was remembering all the times she had not given a gift to someone on that day, the manipulative guilt she got from it all. It was horrible- like hell in her mind. “E-Everyone has been so kind to me here..So the least I could do is give them something…Even I have something planned for you..”

     He blinked, somewhat surprised at that. Kamukura breathed in and closed his eyes. "Even after how bad I've treated you..."

   Poor thing. He had so much hair, and yet no where to put it. It fit him, but it must be bothersome. “A-Ah well it’s…Not that interesting, but..” She paused, looking at her feet. “Well..It’s almost Valentine’s day.. And I’m worrying over what to get people.. Huuu you probably don’t care.”

     Kamukura nodded, understanding why she was troubled now. "You're right, I do not." At least he knew the reason, but only did he not understand why she was fretting over that. "Why do you worry about a meaningless holiday-- one that you have no one to spend with."

   ”I—Um..No…” Eyes averted from the other momentarily, the color from her face returning. She had nothing to fear of him right now at least. “I-Is that so..Well..I mean something is bothering me, but I’m sure you don’t want to hear about it..”

     He shook his head, moving the hair out of his face and tucking it behind his ear. "I may not want to hear it-- really, I don't. However, I am currently bored out of my mind, and would wish to seek for a way to rectify this issue of mine. Who knows-- you're an interesting person."

      “—Ah, do I? I-I mean I sort of am..But, um, it’s over something really stupid..D-Did you come here to bully me?” She cowered in fear away from his gaze. Fuck this boy yo.

     "Bully you? Is that what you think of me..." he laughed a little, the laugh held no mirth however. "I only simply asked you because you seemed troubled and that was what I thought was the best idea. To ask what was bothering you."

     Valentine’s and White day were coming up. Despite knowing she wasn’t going to get anything; Mikan worried herself more over what to get everyone else.

     "You seem troubled." he stated the obvious.

　I’m not vain enough to believe that my life could have that kind of impact. My death, on the other hand… it’s possible, at the very least.

     I see. Your worth as a person is not by your talent. If that were true, that would mean I meant nothing. 

　You’re certainly right about that, but my reason for being here has as much to do with my talent as my near lack thereof.

     Perhaps.. if your talent is lacking in.. then your purpose would be to meet and change peoples lives?

     Luck is a talent not even the faculty understands, that is why you are here in the first place. Even as loose and mundane you say it is, the faculty cannot fathom it. You are here with a purpose, Komaeda Nagito. 

　　It’s not as if I hold it against you or anything… hm? That’s just it, isn’t it? They’re much better than I am. Their talents are worth more than a laugh, and the hope they hold within themselves… it’s incredible. If I could see that hope grow and emerge… yeah, I think I could die happily then.

     I find Luck to be a peculiar talent, if I were to be able to adopt such a talent.. I would. But it's the only one I cannot conquer because Luck sure is something else. 

　　Th-that’s not what I meant! It isn’t like that—! What I meant was… no matter what, I’ll always believe in you, who hold the potential to become symbols of hope. I look up to you. I envy you. More than… almost anything else, I love you. It’s not romantic at all, I promise…!

     Do forgive me. I was not sure how to respond to that, so I apologize for not wording it correctly. Why do you envy those just like you, for they, are exactly like you. Talented in their own right.
