Passion

Referencing to, and creating my version of Ron Hicks impressionist painting The Embrace, I present to you “Passion”. Throughout my BBB journey the past few years, I seldom sat down and decided on a particular style that would sail me to the projects end. This year, I found that to grow and continuously enjoy my own art at a later time, I would have to sit down and ponder what I would like to see. And so there I was, scrolling mindlessly through dark academia tumblr and I stumbled across Ron Hicks and his work, and I thought to myself: this I want to try out. This I’d like to explore. I cannot stress just how frustrating it was to try and nail his style and I ended up having to build on it in my way, and thus this was born.

I have to mention how wonderful Kaz (@the-murphyshow) has been, how patient she is and how kind and understanding throughout this journey. I feel like while I was working on my part, and she on hers, I still was kept on the edge of my seat. I didn’t know entirely what was coming, I still don’t know half the journey of Dead Man’s Tale​ and I am so excited for what comes next! Just saying though, you definitely should head off and read the story.
