kris: the soul being their gem is pretty self explanatory. them being the only human in deltarune felt comparable to steven being the only gem hybrid in su so i went with that

susie: shes purple and shes strong. shes obviously gonna be an amethyst

ralsei: i know hes a prince so itd make sense for him to be a diamond but i did not want to do that. so i just made him a high ranked gem and because his whole thing is knowing the prophecy aka the ‘future’ i made him a sapphire

noelle: thought about making her a lapis because of her snow powers but a pearl felt more like her. especially because her story involves following peoples orders and learning to defy that

berdley: hes blue hes annoying hes a bird hes intellectual. aquamarine was an easy pick

the roaring knight: made sense to make them a corrupted gem i feel like thats kinda the vibes in deltarune at least. making them a SNOWflake obsidian was very intentional as well!

jackenstein: a jasper made sense for his build and colour palette but also because i could give him a helmet to represent his pumpkin head. i think he was corrupted and then the fun gang reverted that

miss mizzle: very self explanatory. shes different to the other mizzles so i made her a fusion
