Me trying to explain to someone that doesn’t have Visual Snow about the static that covers everything I see.

Here’s a gif to demonstrate.

(Like she’s also decided not to tell me or my twin that we’re autistic)

So it literally took me more than a decade to find a word for this.

Which is why I made this post.

She mentioned casually last year to her boyfriend that she learned I had visual snow when I was little and I’m jyst sitting there, having already painstakingly figured all of this out on my own like, “and you didn’t think that was worth explaining to me even when I brought it to your atfention?????”

So ueah.

i just thought EVERYONE had static and floaters in their vision. and that afterimages were that bad for everyone.

Are you telling me y’all just see straight black when you close your eyes or something??? You telling me that the world doesnt actually look just slightly low res? Like. Shadows aren’t all pixelated??? What??????

Back to School Stim Item Care Package Giveaway!

Need some stimmy items to get you through the first weeks of school? Choose one of the 6 care packages from the photos above and enter for a chance to win a small bag filled with fidgets and chewables. 

How to enter:

Answer or reblog this post, before noon EST on Sunday August 12th, with the number of the care package you’d like to receive. 

Rules and other details: 

Each care package includes the bag shown in the photo filled with a random selection of chewable jewelry, fidget jewelry and small stim toys/fidgets as shown.

The items in each pack are very similar to make it easier to choose. :)

We have tried to avoid items that are often associated with sensory sensitivities or materials allergies.

Winners will be asked to provide their ring size so an appropriately sized spinner ring can be sent (the size 13s showing in the photos are just placeholders). 

The giveaway is open to followers worldwide. 

One entry per person please.

You are not required to be going back to school to enter (that’s just the theme!). 

Six random winners will be drawn Sunday afternoon (August 12, 2018)

You must have a way for us to contact you open on your Tumblr and reply within 72 hours of receiving notification that you are a winner. 

If needed, we can hold your care package and mail it to your school address when you arrive for the new semester later this summer.
