The HHN 30 Website Theory
[only applies to the 2021 Orlando Event.]
Notice on this section of the official HHN 30 website (link to this direct page here) is Jack and 4 more boxes of the 5 which list 'Coming Soon'. Could these 4 other boxes be waiting to reveal the 4 other Heralds of Fear? If Universal decided to release each Herald in order of event appearance it would make sense to start with Jack, 1) because he was the first original icon of HHN but also 2) because fans of the event won't bat an eye at our ever popular ringmaster of terror were to return and reign over an anniversary year just as he had in 25. However, if they started out of order of appearance it would make a much more uneasy environment if fans were to celebrate a singular icon event early only to find their favorite returning icon wasn't getting the event to themselves and had to share but I digress. Could these boxes be waiting to reveal, in order: 1. Jack the Clown [Jack Schmidt, Herald of Chaos] 2. The Caretaker [Albert Caine, Herald of Death] 3. The Director [Paulo Ravinski, Herald of Sacrifice] 4. The Storyteller [Elsa Strict, Herald of Legend] 5. The Usher [Julian Browning, Herald of Vengeance] all in anticipation for a multi icon led anniversary event not unlike 2006's HHN Sweet 16, of course with other fan favorites accompanying the Heralds like Chance, Eddie, Cindy, etc. Is Adaru lurking, perhaps with Terra Queen beside him prepared to fulfill her promise of returning every 15 years? Is that why The Heralds need gathering? Only time will tell... What we do know for certain is: This year's event (HHN 2021) is non-canonical storyline wise to the rest of all previous and future events, anything that happens this year is considered off record from canon and doesn't have to obey the rigidity of previously set storylines or timelines. Basically, the rules are there ain't no rules and this year is, as so eloquently stated by Mike Aiello himself, "“To get real geeky and complex, I look at 30 as sort of a comic book annual,” Aiello explains about this year’s event. “It’s a collection of everything you love about Halloween Horror Nights and celebrating all these original characters and stories.” and another familiar face best known for playing Jack the Clown since 2000 stated this, “It’s not about the next evolution for him [this year], it’s kind of a separate story that’s not part of the ongoing series. So enjoy it, and then when you see him next time, maybe we’ll see what’s next for him.” But then again, that's just a theory - A HHN Theory, thanks for reading, maniacs.
