January 28, 2014 The day I stopped drinking. January 28, 2016 Two years without a single drop of alcohol. Today I celebrate. These past two years have not be easy. But I want to encourage anyone who may be struggling with an addiction. You are more then your battle. You are loved and cared about so deeply. I would encourage you to find a good strong support system that will keep you accountable for your actions but will walk with you in your valley. Someone that will show grace when needed and tough love when necessary. There are times when I still feel an urge to drink. But I know God has delivered me from that. He has blessed me with an amazing support group. So here is to you- Thank you to my mama, dad and brother for standing along side me, allowing me to pour out my heart and listening when I needed you the most. To my amazing boyfriend for showing me tough love and walking beside me in my darkest hours. And to my friends and family who have shown unconditional love and support, no matter how close or far apart we may be. My words can not express how thankful to God I am for each and every one of you. Here's to many more years of healthy living and amazing memories.
