Hi Sorsha! This is not a hateful question by any means, I'm purely curious. I just read a question you answered below saying that you enjoyed the Ben & Jerry's dairy free ice cream. Do you find it slightly contradictory to eat a vegan product that supports and produces non-vegan products? You're essentially funding a company that will continue to produce non-vegan products. Once again, not a hateful comment; I am just curious! Thanks:)
supply and demand. the more that we demand these vegan products, the more the vegan products will get produced. because the business sees the vegan products making them more profit. therefore, they will supply more of those vegan products and maybe go full out vegan one day
Non-dairy is only for vegans? Uhm. No. Itâs not about just about veganism. Adults are generally lactose intolerant unless they have mutant genes that allow their stomachs to continue producing lactase (how lactose is digested and processed properly by the body) way past the normal expiration rate. Across the world, only 30% of adults can actually continue to safely drink milk. From any animal. TL;DR Non-dairy options are important for non vegans too and itâs not an ethical thingÂ
