I wonder of that was the writers intention?

This season the writers obliterated Jay’s character, they had Jay:

- yell at his wife knowing her history

- leave his wife at home alone for countless days

- not talk to his wife when that has been the major corner stone of their entire partnership/friendship/relationship

- hang out with Voight who he never wanted to be like in 10 years worth of show

- kick in doors and break rules to the point Kevin and Kim noticed

- kill a dude

- quit his job without talking to his wife who this decision effects not only her personal life but professional life as well

- tell his wife he is leaving for close to a year the SAME DAY

- emotionally blackmail his wife into not questioning any of his behavior by saying if you love we you’ll accept this. which she would have been supportive anyway had the writers had them talk about before the same hour he leaves the country

I also really didn’t like how the writers had Jay throw it in Hailey’s face with the “well you would know that one bad act doesn’t make a bad person.”
