This is a more stylized version and I was thinking about making upper mandibles or something, they'd tuck up in the roof of the mouth. [Like a necromorph? Kind of?]

solardragon doodle dump, featuring some of the cast as temeraire dragon breeds, whether they're canon or my own fan-made ones! :) this is all based on an au idea i've expanded on a bit with this post with astrodude; essentially plopping these guys into dragon bodies, living their lives happily, whilst simultaneously getting flashes of memories from their lives as planets (or, in astrodude's case, a ball). may do more of these in the future, i dunno :D (some designs aren't offically concrete.. jupiter's, for example, so i expect his might change eventually) without color and close-ups below <3

096 but this time I drew him showing off his bicep or something, growing and recovering bc I love him. I was gonna add another person behind him, a human for scale, but I got really lazy lol. He has foundation issued clothes which is why they're so dull. ALSO HIM SMILING!!!! Proud very proud

Also here's stinky stinky Larry, if I'm gonna make a hate love ship between them then I gotta give this walking dumpster a bit of love too!!! Made him more rendered because he's fun!!! I'm gonna draw them interacting tomorrow I think [tapping my chin]

Also the shirtless version of 096 is down below, it doesn't show anything really but I made it lower so people aren't flashed by him lol, he's a bit less emaciated bc in my au he's gaining more weight and muscle!

For now, Let me ramble a bit about few of the characters, I'll most likely probably refine them lol, if the writing seems like shit I'm lowkey just brain-farting the characters' backstories as I type this all out. keep in mind, they may be subject to change!

So, This is Zeph (A.k.a. 096), which is my main AU version of 096 (If it wasn't obvious). He thinks he doesn't deserve to be named as anything, but Laurent calls him such. (Tbf, Laurent is the only one he's fine being called such) The guy beside him is Himesh! (A.k.a. SCP-1529). Well, The locals call him that, and he decided to take that name instead.

It's basically a mix of the 1529 fan theory and the "There is comfort in not seeing. There is bliss in not knowing." Tale! Basically, He was originally from an orphanage. It's unknown who his parents are. (probably will never know) He was often mistreated and outcasted by the other kids at the orphanage due to his strange appearance. He kinda dipped out of the orphanage and into the wilderness, ending up in the mountains where he met Himesh. Himesh kinda did raise him (if you can call it that), and it kinda screwed up Zeph's development even more. Hence how he ended up how he is before the events of the 914 incident.

Himesh saw him more as an animal he raised and tamed if anything, using him as a "tool" to take care of humans who climbed the mountain. As much as Zeph hated doing such. Himesh conditioned Zeph into doing so by using his own anomalous abilities to his advantage to basically punish him, if he doesn't kill the mountaineers that step foot near the death zone. Even though, Zeph is fully capable of sliming him out. He's scared of him for that reason. More tragic is that, Himesh is the closest thing to a parental figure Zeph ever had. The Foundation saw 096 and captured him, which Himesh was livid about it when he found out a few weeks later. For a recap from Zeph's shyguyverse description: He is a variation of SCP-096 that came out of SCP-914 from Universe-[Redacted], due to the infiltration of the Chaos Insurgency. They accidentally put it on the "Fine" setting instead of "Very Fine", as a result caused SCP-096 to gain sapience. Afterwards, killed the rest of the Chaos insurgency and the Foundation personnel who were inside 914's containment chamber after looking at its face. After a week. The foundation decided to conduct an interview on SCP-096, whom had it face covered by a bag the entire interview. Its seems that SCP-096 deep remorse for what it did stating that, even after its victim had died and the anger subsided. It felt like it was still looking at him. It had a one-on-one conversation with Dr. Daniels, but is indifferent to the creature's plea for forgiveness. Changes were made in its file, but its termination still went on as is. Despite being put on to an equivalent to death row, SCP-096 wasn't against it at all. For some reason, Dr. Daniels seemed rather annoyed that it wasn't against its own termination. Now to Laurent! Laurent had a bit of an huge ego when it came to being a doctor, he especially wanted to express that to his previous head researcher, Dr. Hamm. Hamm, as much as he wasn't really convinced of Laurent's reasoning for the pestilence, he at the very least tried to understand him. Which lead to his death, and 049's ego.

After Dr. Hamm's death, He attempted to cover his emotions from the whole ordeal up to professionalism (saying "his death was for the great or good", and such examples), so he hasn't really gotten to grieve him properly. This drove him to persistently work on trying to find a cure for the pestilence and paranoia surrounding it only really worsened because of it. Ignoring all his own needs to tend to others whom were infected by the pestilence. So others would not end up how Dr. Hamm did. These rare crosstests were the only chances of him getting close to curing the pestilence, ever since he got his permissions of requesting subjects to "cure" were revoked of him. He was given a chance to try and cure a humanoid, which gave him a sense of hope... Until he met him in person... He did not have the pestilence, but he was definitely sick...

SO, RECAP (and a few bits if retcons lol): The relationship with Laurent and Zeph is rather sad actually. He was not just a patient to the creature, He was like the son he never had. After a couple of cross tests with 049 attempting to "cure" 096. He was supposed to give the scarf to 096 on their next meeting but they ended the crosstest because, in Dan's words, "- ended up becoming fruitless". So, he was left to grieving about the creature he could not save, he doesn't even know whether the creature was dead or not.

Until one faithful security breach which happened a few months after the 914 incident, this gave Laurent the chance to see Zeph for one last time. They managed to say their final goodbyes to one another. Zeph said that Laurent tried is best to make his life less of a living hell, even if it was for a moment and it was good enough for it. Even though Laurent didn't really think it was enough. Worse part, Laurent felt like he was grieving for a son who already had a terminal illness and was at his final moments... Just like Raymond did. So, him saying these things hurt it on the inside even more. Zeph finally said goodbye to Laurent while 049 says goodbye to him, and hopes that he could meet him in another life.

But. Fellow 096 fan. Please enlighten me with some of your personal headcanons/ lore. If you have any.

Okay, headcanons for 096, and lore, let's see....

He doesn't have a name for himself, but anomalies call him 096 or Opal respectively. 106 calls him Opal because of the way his retinas glow in the dark. The name is supposed to be a demeaning joke, but it stuck pretty well.

096's eyes glow in the dark, and his irises are an icy blue—but because he has a recicitating membrane whenever he's agitated, they look hazy or like cataracts. He's also very sensitive to light.

He grimaces and scrunches his face a lot, but not on purpose—probably a motor tic from stress or nerve damage.

Bad habit of picking his nails, cuticles, hangnails

Around 8 foot 7 inches tall, humans barely reach wherever a belly button might be on this dude.

106 feels very intimidated by 096's height, and whatever cryptic, alien shit he has going on—even though they fought together on the same team.

096 intimidates a lot of people but doesn't really want to scare them off, he also stares at them because he doesn't know how to blink like a human can.

Or eat like one, or talk like one, he has mandibles that are very cumbersome to talk with. He will TRY but it’s difficult. He could swallow a pound steak whole.

First time he spoke was when 106 was nagging him, warning him to get out of his way or sumn, the old man has since questioned if this is some bad omen because 096 doesn't speak to other people.

"Get out of my way."

"AH WHAT THE FUCK?!"

Pattern where they both scare each other in very different ways bc they're yin and yang. They hate each other but like they're also inseparable.

Lays his head on people he enjoys being near, or holding their hand, or touching their shoulder. He'll awkwardly tap someone on the shoulder while they're talking to test if the person is okay with touch or not. Like a fruit fly touching another fly's face to signal that they're here.

Physical touch is important to him.

Sits and sleeps in ungodly painful positions, if he tries to sleep comfortably, his body is tense the entire time. Also pops every bone in his body before going to bed.

Jumped out of a plane before, which was fucking awesome and badass [points added if ya'll know the goated ass reference]

Still gets really anxious when people look directly at his face, even though he knows they're chipped. If he IS triggered, its kind of like disassociation and amnesia [he just doesn't remember what happens and has to deal with the mental and physical turmoil after]

He feels bad for hurting people or being mean to them, even if they hurt him first, but he knows he has to stand up for himself in those scenarios.

I have an au where he's just as mentally insane as 106 and is the equivalent to a rabid dog, and is somewhat sadistic bc he's getting revenge. I still have him but lowkey I'll have to think more abt it lmao.

106 is formless in his pocket dimension, which allows him to take on any form he desires. Usually it's something monstrous or threatening, but there are times he instead chooses to steal the faces of loved ones. It's never a perfect copy, though, both physically and emotionally.

Scp-096 trains extensively and has gotten better with food and nutrition. He's still skinny but he's leveling out muscle wise, his body is probably permanently skinny from the years of malnutrition. He used to be unable to walk long distances [flat feet] or carry heavy objects [furniture, crates, people] at his base level [calm] but he's improving significantly.

With help and company from the other certified scps—safe to euclid class, permitted to walk after their contribution to fighting against 682, they have chips in their neck, below the ear—096 has gained a higher attentiveness and has interacted more with them. He's limited in speech [for now] but has been seen nodding to what people say, pointing objects out, or grabbing stuff for other people.
