Beast Boy Fic Ideas

* Purring upon prolonged phsyical contact with people who are deemed trusted

* Needing on peoples clothed

* When he gets anxious he finds it feels better when he is up high somewhere like cheetas.

* Starts to walk behind people so he can see evryone at once like a wolf pack leader.

* Starts to pile his clothes, blankets, pillows, sheets and towels as well as some of his team mates in order to make a ‘nest’

* Team lost their shit when they went into his room and found him in hibernation, they thought he was dead but just forgot it was winter

* After his first hibernation he began to seek warmth from the others almost 24/7, which lead to a cuddle buddy system so he wouldn’t slip back again

* If he hears the sound of a rattle his kangaroo instinct will mistake it for a rattle snake and he will autamaticallt escape jump away, often onto or into a persons arms

* He will ‘blep’ when he doesn’t like the taste of things

* He just randomly headbuts people and it took them a while to realise he was doing it to show affection like cats do

* They don’t know how and they don’t ask but he sometimes leaves them packets of their favourite food wrapped in spiders web in their rooms like a nursery web spider

* Like some penguin types he gives pretty rocks to them

* Sometimes if he gets scared and cornered he copies frogs and breaks his own bones to use as a weapon (fist time it happened Starfire was there and she screamed)

* Turns his head like an owl without meaning to and doesn’t realise unless pointed out to him

* Hates peppermint like spiders

* Sometimes he accidentally just dribbles venom because his mouth has no way of storing it but keeps making it at random times

* One day he just started eating a huge deer carcass and Robin had to like slowly lead him away cause he went into shock after releasing he was eating meat

* Started eating bones from ribs and stuff after the others were finished and will chew on them to sharpen his teeth, no one brings it up

* Sometimes he forgets how to speak if he shifts to a giraffe because they have no vocal cords

* Holds his old childhood teddy in his mouth like a certain fish and crocs do with their young

* Sometimes just…. Bangs his head on walls or tables like a woodpecker

* Curls into a ball like an armadillo when he starts to panic or just feels threatened

* The first time he shed his skin the entire team had to take a break because they were so shocked, but when they learnt that it works like moulting and he has to RIP THE SKIN OFF they take two

* He can see EVERY colour, his favourite are shrimp colours :)

* When he gets too hot he just casually moves his stomachs so it’s hanging out of his mouth like a camel (Star fainted)

* 100% will wander off if he spots something shiny and give it to whoever he feels would like whatever it is most

* Sways like a mantis when he mourns

* one started doing a little bum wiggle while trying to tell a story because it was about The Hive and he was thinking about bees

* has gotten so excited or hyper during a game or fight that he laughs like a hyena

* Raven cannot figure out for the life of her why he keeps giving her pebbles and if it had anything to do with him not wanting her to watch penguins documentaries..

He gives him a few hours and then they go in, only to find the rich guy sobbing in a feral ball as Beast Boy goes through a 200+ slide PowerPoint on all the way this guys is destroying the world, making him fear climate change and realise how he’s killed both people and animals, very much pointlessly.

I get that he’s actually legit powerful and could have been used by bats (he would never join Superman, he doesn’t believe in killing wether human or animal even though he was raised with Chief and the Doom Patrol), but like… why did they have to kill Beast Boy?

The worst part about it other than it feeling like they just killed him off cause he’s not as loved even though fucking RagMan was there at some point, it bothers me how little we saw of people reacting to it? It obviously crushed Superboy, given that he couldn’t save him, but did we ever see Dick or Cyborg react? Starfire thinks he’s missing or something I’m pretty sure, like she doesn’t actually know that he’s dead.

And Raven? Like, is that the reasons he chose to side with Superman? Or more so why she gave in to her father’s influence and all that? Because surely the death of Beast Boy fucked her over the most, especially when you think about her still being held captive by the prophecy even if she’s secretly only doing things for Trigon.

It just sucks how quickly he was gone, even with such a heartbreaking panel of Superboy holding his burnt up body.

I know I’m biased but I still think would have been so much more impactful is Beast Bot was alive but catatonic or something. Maybe he even comes back at some point after so much had happened and faces Cyborg and Raven, seeing two of the most important people in his life side with a tyrant. He’d also have to grieve people, like Kidflash and Nightwing or maybe he’s back at that point.

Maybe he’s in the Phantom Zone with the others, alive but barely, caught between death and life because of his place in the Zone and maybe that in itself is what saves him.

I just really want to see Cyborg and Raven to see their best friend who they love and just… fall apart. I want the guilt and shame and I want to see if they would try convince him to join them or if they would change sides just because Beast Boy, a symbol of life and fun and old times, asked them to.

Garfield Mark Logan was nine when he was infected with the Green Fever. Even years later and working as a hero he’s never felt so much pain than those few weeks of agony. His body ached afterwards, both from the fatigue and the ever shifting changes to his body.

Gar was thirteen when he first used his powers to save a human life. He had been training with the Doom Patrol, but until that moment he hadn’t been allowed on missions. It was both as thrilling as it was terrifying as he realised what he could do as well as what the consequences could be should he fail. He hated the small part of himself that told him he was powerful, but gradually accepted it as he saved more and more people.

Beast Boy was sixteen when he joined the Teen Titans and found himself with people much more like him. While he knew other people with powers and abilities, never had they been his age. He immediately felt more connected to them then he ever did with the Chief, even if it wasn’t as familiar as it was with Rita, Larry and Cliff. His foster father as well as… distant, but he loved Rita and that’s all that mattered to the young shifter.

Beast Boy was seventeen when he faced death. He had taken a bad blow to the head, but that itself wasn’t what was fatal so much as how he landed in the water and his throat were invaded by salt till blood burst inside his lungs. He knew somewhere in his mind that he was dead, but as he found himself sitting in a road side diner with a sweet woman, he couldn’t process it.

She introduced herself with a warm smile and a dark coloured hand for him to shake, chuckling as he balked at her.

Death.

He called her beautiful and she patted his cheek, telling him that she thought that of him as well.

The woman explained things with little preamble after that, a coolish hand holding his all the while, “You, little one, are life. You are warm and bright and scary, but oh so incredible. You will grow and flutist with the world, rise with every sunset and shine like every dawn, but for this… there is a cost you have been forced to pay without every knowing.”

Garfield listened to her words, cried silently as she explained that as death she could not claim him without harming the balance of all life. The man who held his title before him had given it up without any warning, simply finding someone else to hand it to and fleeing. He had lived since King Arthur and begged Merlin to free him, but only found out how when Garfield was nine. It had to be passed on, a curse and blessing wrapped up as a burden.

Normally you had to ask permission but the man had waited until Gar was fever sick and delusional, getting his consent then so he could flee.

Death calls the man and coward then cups Garfield’s cheeks, “But you are not. You are brave and kind and I know you can do this, even if it means you have to suffer. I will always be there with you when you heart is meant to fail, both to make sure you stay in the living and to feel not the loneliness of time. I’m sorry, sweet child, I wish there was another way.”

Garfield smiles at her, sad but still beaming, “Guardian of animals? As if I’d say no to that.”

Plus, every time it happens he swears it goes away quicker if he stays still. After a few weeks he tests his theory and finds that if he sits down it will almost always stop after a while. He guesses it’s because he’s lower to the ground so maybe the sound isn’t as close? Either way, it’s not hurting him, so it doesn’t really matter.

Except, then it does. The sound gets higher over time and as soon as it hits the six month mark of him dealing with the Josie he finds himself falling to his knees both to stop it sooner and because it hurts so much. At one point it even made his ear bleed and he’s had a constant headache for weeks, but he’s a Titan! He can get through it, it’s just some kind of issue with his super animal hearing, he’s dealt with worse. Even then, now when he sits down it goes away instantly! Sure it’ll come back if he stands up so he finds himself staying still for hours at a time, but Robin always said he needs to learn to stay still.

Almost a full year passes before it happens, but the man before him is clearly patient, so it’s no surprise. He had to be, as he barely makes a single twitch in his calm expression as he blows the modified dog whistle and damn near casually walks over to Beast Boy and puts a collar over his neck.

Beast Boy knows the animal kingdom better than anyone. Even without his powers, he was raised in an animal sanctuary and learnt to read and write with text books about all kinds of different forms of life on earth.

This helps him in a fight, knowing what animosity will better fit a situation had saved him and his team dozens of times, to the point where he he’s been the sole reason some missions have been successful, though he doesn’t like to think about what could have happened if he wasn’t present.

It’s helped with other things too, like actually getting Robin to care for his wounds when he can sniff them out miles away or making sure each of them has eaten enough by listening to the rumbles of their stomachs. When he once found Starfire having a panic attack and her powers were going haywire, it was the form of a small puppy that helped her ground herself, feeling the soft fur and gushing the little whines he let out at her distress.

His power is good, it helps him, but it also hurts him. More specifically, it hurts others.

The first time he was truely aware of it was when Cyborg tried to take his plate before he was finished and he snap his teeth at him, catching his sharp teeth in the metal of his palm. Cyborg was kind and didn’t bring attention to it and thankfully no one else was present, but all Beast Boy could think was, “what if it wasn’t Cy? What if it was flesh?”

He quickly realised how often he would delve into resource guarding, how he refused to let anyone in his room, how he would get so worked up after a fight he would scratch holes into the walls just to calm down. Worst of all, he realised how sharp his nails were no matter how often he clipped them and how his teeth sometimes produced venom when he got nervous, making his fear of accidentally biting someone so much worse. His once comfort of sleeping on his friends clothes and laps turns into a fear as he accepts that what he’s relaxing doing is scenting.

It’s when his annual heat hits, something that started as he hit puberty and got worse every year, that he truely becomes terrified.

Beast Boy asked for some privacy, saying he feels sick, and locks up his room. He feels gross as he sets up his pathetic little nest, his skin burning as a forced arousal causes his stomach to twist violently. It’s something he used to, but this year feels worse as he realises he’s already feeling more aggressive despite it not even fully hitting yet.

Then, Raven comes by to ask him if he wants dinner. With her powers she instantly feels his distress and tries to open the door but thankfully it’s locked, but it’s enough to remind Beast Boy, or more his body, of the ideal partner he’s been longing after for several months. In seconds he’s launching from his nest and banging against the door, growling and clawing and trying to get to the person he knows could help the pain in his groin, who he could mount and forced down to take his spend and give him a child, the way she would squirm and beg and plead, all of it just for him if the door would just fucking budge-

His growling turns into a fearful and sorry whine as a brief moment of clarity comes through. He feels himself sobbing, once from a need to breed but now from disgust in himself as he realises what he was trying to do to his friend, his Raven.

He hears her talking, something about everything going to be okay, but he ignores it in favour of using his moment of sanity to barricade the door and crawl his wha back to his nest.

He sobs his way through his heat, clawing at his skin, causing blood to mix into the climax littering his shredded bedsheets. Even after it fades and the others come to his door he just sits there, wounded in every way, hating himself and his power, hoping to whatever gods that exist that maybe, just maybe, he could be human again.

It started when his skin first started to turn green, when his hair and eyes changed, when he stopped looking like his mother. He stopped looking sun kissed and bubbly, now with a sort of greyness to his tone with too dark eyes that didn’t glint like they once did. Worst of all, he lost the features that reminded him of his mother, the freckles, the blue-grey eyes, the light coloured hair, but his fathers jawline remained. His fathers nose, his eyebrows.

Only his smile would remind him of his mother, as long as he could look past all the green.

Then he started to get too deep into his instinct. He listened to the calls the animals in his mind made and bit by bit he forgot how a human would react to things. He forgot that normal people don’t growl, don’t lick off dirt and grime, don’t sniff and pat to show affection.

He doesn’t recognise himself in mirrors for a long time, but it’s after seeing footage of himself on the news that something truely disappears inside him.

Beast Boy is standing next to his team, looking normal all things considered, until he suddenly scrunched his nose. He looks at his arm, camera footage zooming in as the host of the program explains how he had been hurt, a small gash ruining his suit. The cameraman films him as he licks clean the wound, nibbling slightly to get out some shrapnel, before he forms his mouth into that of a odd spider and sews his suit shut.

“The creature, known as Beast Boy, saved several civilians, yet we do not know what it’s nature truely is.”

It could be how dehumanising it all is, or that he finally sees how he himself caused such a change by leaning into his new nature, or maybe it’s just that he can’t fathom who that person in, but Beast Bot accepts a truth that day.

Truth that he doesn’t even know what he is.

Truth that he has long since become an ‘It’.

Raven has it as a power. She literally feels what others feel, most of the time without even trying. She doesn’t really have a choice on the matter and can, at times, seem like she doesn’t want it.

Being able to change to any form in the animal kingdom and often being underestimated, it makes it easy for him to sneak away and remove himself from possibly fatal situation.

This is why he becomes the ‘Final Man’. When a situation is so bad that all of them have been captured or injured too badly to escape themselves, Beast Boy’s mission will change from whatever it had been. From then on it will be to survive and escape, to get as far away from the fight or situation as possible and get back up if he can’t get them out on his own and, as a worst case scenario, Robin gave him the location to find Batman.

He hates it. It’s horrible having to leave his friends, his family, the first time it happens. He would never forget the fear in Starfires eyes or the panic in Ravens. The sight of Cyborg having his legs ripped off his body like nothing would forever be scarred into his eyes.

But the worst of it all was the sound of Robins voice as he looked BeastBoy dead in the eyes and said, “go.”

But… it never happens.

His team have to keep face so they say they are looking for him and will not allow killers to be hero’s, but he knows their tells and he can sense their doubt through the screens. Having no where to go, he lives as green coloured animals for a few months, still helping people where he can as he travels around the world in constant motion.

It’s when he watches a group of Canadian hero’s fighting and let a villain get away to save some people that he comes to a realisation. He had always had that mentality, to save people even if it means keeping a monster on the run, but now that he was that monster, at least to the public, he realised that… it’s not enough.

Those hero’s are important, no doubt, but surely someone should find the villain before he strikes again? Beast Boy himself tracked the guy down by scent alone!

Yet, when he corners the guy as a tiger, tasting his fear in the air, he hesitates. If he does kill him, the months of being on the run would be for nothing. Even if his name was cleared, he would of still taken a life. A flash of his teams tight lips as they say they are looking for beast boy, keeping reputation up over defending their friend, eventually spitting the word killer like they truely associate that with him…

He bites the man’s head clean off. Someone needs to do something, to actually take these guys out. Let there be good hero’s with a clean conscious, he’ll do all the dirty work. He has no friends or family, no chance to start anew, he has the skills and the power.

It’s like he was made to be a killer of killers.

A Hunter of man with he knowledge of one.
