The flight to New York alone took 8 hours, New York to Jump City was anothe 7 hours, and it was all worth it. Because for once, Jillian was the unpredictable one. She was the one dropping in out of nowhere. She was the one rescuing him.

The second he saw her, Gar ran into her arms. Well, ran is a loose term. He jumped. He jumped into her arms and nuzzled her neck and cheeks, his legs unable to stay still, tail wagging as much as a bunnys could. She had said some quip about her hair, he was pretty sure. It was hard to hear over the pounding in his chest. Her scent was just as warm and pleasant as ever, even if she masked it with deodorant and perfume now.

After just 8 minutes of wiggling and weird stares from his teammates, Gar calmed down enough to listen to what she had to say. Not enough to get out of her arms, mind you. He figured he could still milk the cuddle sesh a little longer. And from how she kept scratching his belly? She wasn't about to complain any time soon.
