Material/technique: brail texture; six-color UV screen print Dimensions (Height x Width): 512 x 815 mm / 20 3/16 x 32 1/16 in Artist Alex Dodge made this print with a computer program that builds virtual spaces. The artist wanted to point out the contrast between the geometric human-made tiles and the wavy organic shapes made by the water. The geometric shapes (tiles) were formed by using angle measurements. The organic shapes (waves) were made by taking photographs of waves. Dodge used the computer program to blend the shapes together.

ok so this is another long shot but a few years ago there was a twitter post (in japanese i think?) that had measurememts for how to make this book stand thing out of cardboard that you could use to double up books and use up more space on shelves

back then i made a bunch of these but by now i lost the pic and dont know how to find the original post anymore

if it comes down to it i can just take one apart and get the measurements from there but i would be very grateful if anyone happens to have the original post or something similar??

don't mind how long it's been since i made this post, anyway i realized that i don't even need to take one apart to get the measurements when i can literally just unfold it and refold it /FACEPALM

so anyway here is the diagram for anyone else who is interested!!

this requires pretty big carboard pieces, if you have a really big box or something you can make it from one piece, but if you don't, you can also just make each of the pieces individually and then tape them together

and then in the end you put it together like this!!

and then when you make a bunch you can put them all next to each other and stack your books like crazy

I lost my fucking phone

#at a lake beach/scenic area in the middle of the woods where there's no signal (michigan moment)#so I can't use like. google's find my device or anything #there's a SMALL chance it ended up lost in the water which idek which is worse - loosing it permanently that way or the possibility of #someone walking away with it. I'm very sad about all the photos I lost (I didn't make backups. I was procrastinating and paid the price.)#I'm not fucking joking if someone did actually take it (maybe I dropped it?? me + siblings + nearby family combed the area multiple times)#I would seriously give a reward for it back. I've sent the lock request* thru google just in case but I'm holding out on factory resetting #*note the request still hasn't gone thru & my calls go straight to voicemail; so it has no signal. god this sucks so bad.#the only thing I can say on the whole thing is at LEAST I'm not feeling nearly as bad as I did after my last 2 breakups.#the emotions are slowly being regulated.
