Have I ever mentioned that I never want to have kids? They are so gross. I was at work today, minding my own business, treating a couple of patients. There was this kid with some type of skin irritation. No big deal, all it needed was just some ointment. The moment I walk into the room, this kid starts screaming and crying, throwinā a big fit. Over some ointment. It took like, ten minutes for this kidās mom to calm him down. Once heās all chilled out, I start applying it, and the kid looks at me and sneezes. Right on my face. Then he starts laughing. If I ever mention anything about wanting to procreate, Iām gonna need someone to take me out to the beach and just take me out. Old Yeller style.Ā
I used to feel the same way, but really once you get over the messiness, children are astounding. Aside from being our future, they really do have quite a lot to teach us. Though, my little one is considerably less messy than the one you described.Ā
I do sympathize with you and your difficult work day. I hope today was a bit better.
