So many badass women
Your comment about Bernie supporters is indicative of a larger ideological issue.
“I’m still grateful for the path you blazed—but more and more, you and I are living in different worlds.”

I'm sorry to cut you off there, Dave.
Too real
I support Planned Parenthood.
Because without it, women all over the country would be left without basic healthcare… And basic bodily autonomy.
Let’s review PP’s services:
38% - STD testing and treatment for all genders
34% - Birth control (that’s where we prevent unintended pregnancies, valiant “pro-life” folks)
15% - Cancer screenings/prevention
9% - General women’s health and prenatal services
3% - Abortion (which receives ZERO government funding)
1% - Other health services (including adoption referrals and family practice services)
When someone votes to defund Planned Parenthood, they’re not actually defunding abortion. They’re fighting to end affordable healthcare for women across the board.
Now is the time to make your voice heard. The House has voted to defund PP, but the Senate and the President can still crush that bill.
BOOM. #NotoriousRBG
“Herself is a gesture to women for women by women; a chance to witness the female form in all its honesty without the burden of the male gaze, without the burden of appealing to anyone. These women are simply & courageously existing, immortalized within these photos. Within their words, their experiences and stories are offered on Herself in the hopes of encouraging solidarity – that maybe we as women will take comfort in the triumphs of others rather than reveling in each other’s defeats. Let us reclaim our bodies. Let us take them back from those who seek to profit from our insecurity.”

"Queer female characters are becoming more than just vanilla statistics. But we still have a long, uphill climb ahead of us as we advocate for more queer women of color, more trans characters, more trope-smashing, and moreleading characters who are queer."

"In 1998, TIME Magazine declared feminism dead. Nearly 15 years later, it wondered if instead, perhaps feminism should be banned. Constantly on attack from all sides, feminism has spent the past few decades proving its importance and relevance over and over and over again. If there's one thing history has taught us, it's that the backlash against feminism will always be a measure of our success. That's the thing with progress — it is perceived as a threat by those too weak to embrace equality. Indeed, it's clear 2014 was a historic one for feminism. Women stood up for their rights, challenged stereotypes, fought for recognition and took control of the dialogue. The following is a non-exhaustive list of some of the most iconic feminist moments this year." - Elizabeth Plank, Mic
