Its because they ruined Sonic and Halo, creating resentment in every autistic male under 35 for this heartless system they can't comprehend. Nobody even knew they were doing this but when you make someone base their identity around a brand, you have to do it very well and not ruin it or the golems will turn on your gay ass village.
There's a timeline where they didn't ruin Halo or Sonic, and fascism and communism respectively didn't get reinvigorated in the west from a flood of people just neurotypical enough to be dangerous quitting their hobbies to post politics instead.
