Today, August 8, is the birthday of @manori-ka, the most prolific artist in the Kustarka universe. I want to congratulate her on this wonderful day, wish her all the very best, and sincerely thank her for creating art inspired by our D&D games throughout all the years we have known each other
To celebrate this special day, I’m giving her a drawing of her favorite ship!

Recently, one of my players suggested running a one-shot. I had wanted to play some kind of evil cultist for a long time, but she wouldn't let me do anything truly evil. So I came up with something much sillier, inspired by Neil the seal.
I thought it would be funny to create seal-themed characters for myself and another player. Their goal is to summon a seal demon, and naturally, both of their names begin with Seal.
The first is Sealnail. They are a barbarian. Since they're very combat-oriented, I figured they would fight orcas, as orcas are one of seals' natural predators. They wear orca hide and teeth as trophies.
Sealnail wields a glaive. Its blade is shaped like a seal, while the tip resembles an octopus. The weapon is essentially a piece of art depicting a seal hunting an octopus. They also wear a holy symbol depicting two dancing seals.
The second is Sealbound. He is a cleric. Calm and dangerous, he supports Sealnail in battle but is more than capable of defending himself with magic.
Sealbound's design is a little simpler. His sleeves and the bottoms of his trousers resemble seal flippers, while the headband is shaped like a seal's eyes. His holy symbol matches Sealnail's: two dancing seals.
These are the silly little sketches I ended up with. I think they turned out pretty well, even if Sealbound's design is simpler. I like to think he just doesn't enjoy standing out.

As I promised, I'll gradually start sharing more of my world publicly. For now, I plan to draw some of my characters and tell you a little about each of them
Let's start with Drudox. They have a very long history, and telling it all at once would be rather tedious. So, for now, we'll focus on their current state during my D&D campaign
Drudox was once perceptive and wise, but has since lost their mind. This turned them into a foolish, aggressive, yet trainable creature
When everything first changed, their friend Daniel tried to help. He showed Drudox objects from their past, repeated the small everyday rituals they used to share, took care of them, and tried other approaches. None of it worked. The creature became more intelligent over time, but never even remotely resembled the Drudox Daniel had once known. Eventually, Daniel gave up trying to bring their friend back that way and began keeping them locked in a cage
As you can see in the illustration, Daniel is trying to remove the excess leaves from the now-feral Drudox. They're clearly not happy about it
My name is Oxs. You might know me as oxs1g, oxso, oxso-stuff, be_rilla, or by some variation of those nicknames
I'm a game master and a creative person. I draw, occasionally make 3D models, and sometimes spend hours organizing notes that will probably end up in a completely different order anyway. I started documenting my drawing progress back in 2019, while most of my other hobbies only became part of my routine in 2026. I have plenty of other interests as well, but these are the ones I spend the most time on. I rarely draw fanart—I much prefer creating my own original worlds and characters
I'd like to share my work with more people because it means a lot to me. I'm often asked to talk about my projects, and my players sometimes create artwork inspired by my setting. Having a place where they—and anyone else who's interested—can learn more about my world feels like the right next step
My main project is "Kustarka", a collection of stories centered around humanoid plants
Everything started with a character named Drudox. I created them in 2019–2020 while playing in my first TTRPG campaign. When the campaign ended, I realized I wasn't ready to let them go. I still enjoyed tabletop role-playing games, but it just wasn't the same without Drudox. At the same time, I found myself wanting to tell my own stories instead of existing only as a player in someone else's
So I thought: why not build a world around the things I love most? Around creatures like Drudox
At first, I simply kept creating new characters. Then those characters found their own stories. Eventually, almost by accident, I found players who wanted to explore that world with me
This summer, I want to start sharing much more of Kustarka. Right now, most of my time is taken up by university work, but I've already started missing the process of creating something new, and I'd like to change that
