The Iron Stomach

Mina had plenty of things on her mind right now, but even so, she was aware enough to notice that there was some little kid wandering around by himself. She didn't want to seem strange, but if she wasn't going to be the one that spoke up or did something, would anyone else?

This city seemed too busy and bustling to be consistently worried by every little guy that got dropped off. So, even as a battle chef in training, it was her duty to help where others couldn't or wouldn't!

With that in mind, she carefully approached the child with a kind smile on her face.

Unfortunately for this old fellow, Mina was asking him a whole slew of questions. "So...from what I understand...there's absolutely no brigadiers here at all?" Although it was a different world, she still had a hard time understanding that this world wasn't in dire need of battle chefs like her world was.

Mina was suspicious of all of this from the get go, and that weird silent driver didn't help any either! She had been given a pamphlet, and 1 single wooden dagger. More than that though was this whole situation! Was she just suppose to take it all at face value?

No. Freaking. Way!

She fumbled with the phone that she'd been given too; she was informed that would be her way to inside her new home away from home. "Agh! Stupid-- thing!" Evidently, she had no idea what the phone even was, as she had never seen such a device before.

As Mina observed her surroundings, she noticed that this place was really just a normal world. Mostly. Less monsters than she was used to, and the buildings were impossibly high, but the people seemed relatively ordinary despite all of that.

Speaking of the buildings though, she found herself staring up and up at one building particular. She placed her hand flat on her forehead to shield her eyes from the sun. Yet, as she did this, a rather disgruntled individual ran into her and began to berate her for her carelessness.

Standing in front of the train that would travel throughout the wards, Mina found herself bewildered. She had never seen anything like it before in her life, and she couldn't believe that people would willingly ride inside of that huge metal death-trap!

Well, perhaps that was a little harsh, but the most advanced form of travel that she was used to was a hot air balloon.

"Heyyy....sooo.." She slid in a sideways manner a bit closer to a stranger that seemed like they had a kind face.

This might've been a weird and strange world, but at least it had food. Mina didn't have her normal cooking tools, because apparently those couldn't be kept with her of course. Ah well, even so, there were plenty of food stands around to buy from. A chef didn't always need to cook for herself after all!

After awkwardly fumbling around with her phone for a moment and apologizing to the food stand owner, she was able to pay for a delicious plate of meat curry and rice.

Finding a nearby bench, she sat down to start enjoying her meal.

"I wonder what kind of meat this is...huh..."
