Beatrice gave her friend a bashful smile at the compliment that had been offered to her. "My radiance is only brought forth by your company, my darling." She replied as a means of greeting, a bright grin taking over her features.
There were too many options for Bea to really take any into true consideration. She just wanted to eat something, and quickly. "I could not possibly accept you purchasing anything for me, but you are correct. The baked apple pudding looks and smells divine." Beatrice reached into her reticule, pulling out enough for two apple puddings. "We'll take two please, good sir!"
A mischievous glint formed in her eyes as she looked at Bella. "You were the one who joined me, it is my treat." Bea stated, taking the treats offered by the stall owner and holding one out for her friend to take.
Isabella had never been more grateful for her dear friend, while the rest of the ton may have been ardently against the Carlisle's; rightfully so, in the opinion of the majority. "You are rather cunning, Bea." While the comment carried harsh words, there was absolutely no malice in them. Rather a jovial sense of humour. Bella had avoided the first ball of the season, had instead decided to cook up the rest of her plan to restore the respect her family name once had. A married lady without her husband, wouldn't have been looked upon particularly favourably anyway. Teeth sunk into the sweet treat, the sugar instantly coating her tongue. "Incredible choice... now you must tell me about anything I've missed recently. It feels like it has been an age since I was in your company."
