oh okay……..

she is somewhat of a rescue/abrupt rehoming baby but she’s here to stay and live a great life being a horse and eventually my riding companion.

i originally wanted to name her honey, but after getting in contact with her original owner who lost track of her and finding out her name used to be millie - i have decided millie is more of a suit. we’ve joked her full name is miss millie moo honey pants and I would love to compete her under the name oh honey bee. that way she is not just millie but also honey.

she seems to have been passed around a lot and I get the feeling that she hasn’t always been treated the best, but despite all this she is the sweetest soul and a very expressive horse. i can’t wait to update you on her journey.

so far here are her improvements after two weeks with me - please let me know what you think!

Just a brief and sad update about Return to Sender, AKA my boy Elvis

This last Friday night he sadly passed away in my arms due to a traumatic episode of colic which ended up with his bowels twisted. He was not a surgical candidate. Though he was in immense pain I was able to cuddle him, calm him down and show him he was loved in his final moments

His best friend Elmo has not left Elvis burial, and has lingered and pawed at the ground hoping his brother would return.

Please hug your babies extra tight tonight for me, Elmo and of course our beloved Elvis.

Your time here was short but you will be loved and remembered for eternity.

AKA Elvis

He has an ulcerated sore on his eye which I’m currently treating four times a day.. poor thing + gastric ulcers! Super pleased with his new vet as she has been on the ball supporting him ASAP.
