Like, this is such a wrong take
I can talk about that because my favorite character is Kinger, and yeah, he pretty much is a one take character
"I'm crazy, but actually i'm a genius, also my wife died" Simon Petrikov type shit, but he's still a good take on his trope
But the character i'd like to really talk about is Caine.
Are we all forgeting Caine too has a character arc on the series? (Pomni do too, but she is the protagonist)
Caine character is about Love
He loved humanity, but couldn't care less about understanding the humans on the Circus
He thought abstraction at first was a personal attack to him
He really hated feedback about his adventures, unless you had something good to say about it
Caine WAS egocentric at first, even tho he didn't wanted to act like that, he did
Cuz his character arc is about understanding feelings
He HAD to understand what the humans were feeling, and understand what HE was feeling
At first he loved humanity just because he was curious, but then he learns to love them because he could comprehend what they were feeling being trapped in the Circus (even tho they were just mind scans)
Saying only Jax is a well writing character is misleading and a take made on bad faith.

"if Jax is a trans woman she's still an abuser so she's bad representation so the show is transphobic" you're an idiot. you want your blorbos to be perfect ideal angels, I want my blorbos to be realistic, nuanced, flawed human beings, we are not the same. I LIKE that she's messy and fucked up and problematic, I think it's a realistic depiction of how a lot of repressed and traumatized trans women are. I think the show goes to great lengths to explore how and why she is the way she is, and to evoke sympathy for this kind of person. it doesn't excuse her actions but it does make them understandable. and I think the fact women like that deserve sympathy is an idea worth stating and worth shouting. yes she's a bully and she hurt everyone around her and that may never change. she still deserves sympathy.

So, I said this on Twitter and wanted to elaborate my vision more in here
Caine is literally the oposite of A.M.
While A.M. hates humanity with all it's code and being, Caine loves humanity
Our existence intrigues him
As we saw on episode 7, he created a "Escape the Circus" adventure, and a lot of people didn't get why he was doing this, but it's simple!!
He wanted Pomni and Zooble to participate willingly
Both of them didn't show any interest in his adventures, and while Pomni participate on them she usually says they're not the type of thing she likes, but in her first day she was invested on trying to find an exit, so for Caine it was like "She will like an adventure about escaping the Circus"
Also, Jax was the one put in position to do most of the things
Because he was the closest to abstract
"Caine's adventure are to help our minds to keep sane and healthy" — Ragathas quote So why wouldn't he try to help Jax?
He did it in a fucked up way? Yeah, but it's not like he can understand why this is fucked for them
He can't die, nor feel and worst of all, he can't change if it's not in his programing
Caine wants them to be happy, but how you make someone happy if you can't understand what is making this person sad in the first place?
