If a fantasy setting has both fantasy races like dwarves, elves, and halflings and contractible vampirism, I think vampire dwarves, vampire elves and vampire halflings should have their own bespoke weaknesses and powers from human vampires.

Vampire dwarves burn in pure darkness and must always carry a lit candle. Vampire elves can turn into owls. The only way to kill a vampire halfling is to feed it a soup it loved in life. Etc

My attention has been brought to a 3.5E Ravenloft book that included the statblocks for dwarf, elf, and halfling vampires. Some highlights:

Dwarf vampires can merge with solid stone. They cannot enter any structure made of wood, and can only be killed by a stalactite through the heart.

Any plant touched by an elf vampire withers and dies. They cannot cross a line of flower petals, and if they hear music they have to stop and listen to it.

Halfling vampires can turn into "a cloud of pleasantly aromatic pipe tobacco." They cannot enter a room with a fire lit in the hearth or any room that smells strongly of pipeweed.

Evil Hat Productions, a TTRPG and board game company, announced on Bluesky that the latest PDF files for their Umdaar game had injected autogenerated AI alt text, without warning. Other users are reporting that not only does alt text generate for undefined images, it also overwrites previously existing alt text.

Adobe raised their subscription fees from $59.99 to $69.99 a month, citing advanced AI features as the reason, while simultaneously injecting AI generated text into users' PDF files without permission.

Consider this reason #59,999 to dump adobe.

As someone who was alive when Bob Ross (and William Alexander before him — that’s where the approach is from) was on PBS, I can 100% testify that you can paint along with him.

You may need to learn how to set up your paints and such… but this is what people did, live, while the show aired. That’s what the show was for. I had family members create lovely works of art they enjoyed, which I still have on my walls, because William Alexander and Bob Ross both said:

SCREW METICULOUS CLASSICAL ART PRACTICES — JUST GRAB A PALETTE KNIFE AND BIG OLD BRUSH AND PAINT!

They freed a whole generation of people who were taught to paint detail and realism and exact representation of reality — people who largely gave up this kind of thing because it got tedious.

I watched the joy of family members as they rediscovered art as a messy fun spontaneous half hour activity.
