[text] hey, I need you to steal me doctor scrubs. And one of the doctor coats And one of those little masks you wear when you operate.
[Text] Doable, but youâd have to tell me why.
[Text] If this is about what I think it is, I might have to object.
[text] why would you bring up lying to me?Â
[text] i didnât think you were lying to meâŚÂ
[text] wellâŚnow Iâm a little suspiciousâŚÂ

[Text] Research. Figuring out Tetchâs tech, brushing up on the finer points of hypnotherapy - not exactly my division, you know.

[Text] Donât worry, Iâm a certified genius. Also chronically obsessive, but I like to think of that as a virtue anyway.

[text] I hope you donât mind my complete lack of faith of you.Â
[text] how do I know any of this is true?Â
[Text] Did you expect me not to punish him? If I didnât care about how this would affect you, Iâd have killed him, without hesitation. Itâs because I can stomach the fact that youâre stillâŚattached to him that heâs still alive.
[Text] And THAT is why you should have faith in me. Why Iâm offended that youâd claim otherwise.
[Text] Because I resist my most basic instincts for your benefit. Iâm selfish, vengeful, and cruel, but I treat you like a king. I go out of my way to protect you - and believe me, for anyone else, I wouldnât bother.
[Text] Youâre very uniquely privileged, Edward. Iâd appreciate that.
[Text] It doesnât matter if you believe me. In fact, I expect you not to, given the condition youâre in. I donât care - Iâm going to fix the problem. Clean and surgical.
[text] fix the problem? I saw how you âfixedâ my last problem! you beat the shit out of it!
[text] you stay away from me Thomas, I swear to god.Â
[text] who knows what you deem as âfixingâ when it comes to something /inside/ my head! you stay away! you got that?
[Text] Are we starting this early? I can work with that.
[Text] Your wish is my command and etc. Odds are you won't be seeing me for a bit - I have work to do.
[Text] Good luck with your mother and all that. Visiting her, euthanizing her, whatever.

[Text] Strangely, that does make me feel better. As long as you keep the last part out the the little slap-slap-kiss routine, I wonât have to hurt him worse.
[Text] Who says you donât get to? Just wait until he can eat without a feeding tube again, then toss him in. Itâll be fun.
[Text] Hey, nobodyâs perfect. Though I do come pretty damned close.
[Text] Come on, Edward, youâre smarter than that. What are Hatter cards typically used for?
[Text] Me, unable to understand parental affection? Canât imagine where you got that idea.
[text] Believe me, if I wanted to be with Jon, I would be with jon. Instead I am with you. That should be saying something to you.Â
[text] i happen to like getting into scraps with jon is all. It is our way of saying âi donât know how to be affectionate so here is a punch in the face insteadâÂ
[text] you are not allowed to do that to me though

[Text] If I have a reason to hurt someone, I do it. I donât have a reason to hurt you; fortunately, Iâm far more adept at expressing my emotions than the good doctor.
[Text] One of which happens to be anger when my boyfriendâs ex decides to perform fun little experiments on him for kicks. Which I expressed in a prompt, healthy manner.
[Text] Incidentally, shortly before I broke his bony legs, he informed me that you medicate for PPD. I was aware previously, but IÂ wasnât aware that heâd decided it would be a lovely idea to ensure your medication no longer works. You know, because your hubby is in a torrid love affair with fear.
[Text] I give it a few days before the chemical imbalance starts to reach a peak. Enough time for you to wrap up this thing with dear old mom before your mental state goes downhill? One can hope.
[Text] Ah. Morality. Alright, assuming I donât know the first thing about that is probably a fair assumption. I was killing mice by age three.
[text] âŚthat calms me down slightly
[text] âŚonly to be alarmed by your next statement. /excuse me/!?Â
[text] If my medication wouldnât work, wouldnât you think Iâd be able to tell?
[Text] Considering the fact that your medication is meant to deter paranoia? Maybe, maybe not.
[Text] Depends on if you're paranoid that Jonathan really would do something like that (he would), or if you're paranoid that I'm lying to you for some reason.
[Text] Either way, I'm working on it. Perks of being a neurologist - I'm not in the dark here.
[Text] That said, I'd appreciate you keeping me up to date on any symptoms.

[Text] If you knew how much you just reminded me of my mother, itâs entirely possible youâd throw up.
[Text] I wonât stop you, but weâre going to have to have a chat later about what else he did. Think of the Hatter card, and youâll have a vague idea of what Iâm going to tell you. Spoiler: you wonât like it.
[Text] Iâll get you a room number along with the clothes. Personally, Iâm making a visit to Gotham Episcopal to spit on mother dearestâs grave, but to each their own.

You believe this is a game, and you may be right. But if you think you can play it better than me, think again.

[Text] I know that was probably typical foreplay back in the day, but at this point it looks a little closer to sport, and you're the entertainment.
[Text] I can get you what you're asking for, though. Could set you up with an I.D. too if you tell me where you're sneaking into.

"Iâm not stalling. Out of the two of us, honestlyâŚwho do you think Edward would be more upset with? Iâm more then willing to be betting heâd be upset with you..â he couldnât help the jump though, looking down at the patient.Â
âŚwellâŚex patient.Â
"Did Edward tell you, he suffers extreme Paranoia⌠one wouldnât think so with the drug he takes⌠He takes medication for it, and that manages to keep it in lineâŚmostly. He still has cameraâs in every room of his warehouse⌠I simply⌠made it so the pills didnât work as wellâŚâ Crane said quickly. Still purposely keeping the patient strapped to the table between them.
Jonathan cursed himself for not having his scythe nearby. Â Â
"Of course he will, but all I need to tell me that that won't be a problem for long is the fact that he managed to maintain a relationship with the likes of you." He chuckled, the rush of satisfaction he got as a result of Crane's eagerness to keep a barrier between them downright intoxicating. The master of fear was afraid of him, and rightfully so - that was a drug all on its own. "I'll need time to do a little research anyway, I'm sure." He shrugged, and sure enough, the hurried dialogue that followed managed to string together his scattered suspicions into something coherent, earning the good doctor a discordantly placid nod.
"Still performing your little experiments?" He smiled again, still disgustingly pleasant, head cocked at a predatory angle as he watched Crane's eyes dart. "Unfortunately for you, you lost the right to use Edward as your lab rat when I came into the picture. He's mine now; if you'd bothered to put together even a basic profile on me, you'd have known this was coming. Careless, Doc, I've got to say. Sloppy." But they'd talked long enough, hadn't they? He already had a basic idea of the issue - hypnosis, synapses not reabsorbing neurochemicals the way they should be - and he didn't need a psychologist to tell him where to start looking for a way to reverse the process.
"How about we do a little role play, Doc? You be the gangly little rabbit that forgot who he was dealing with, and I'll be the big, bad wolf." He smacked the blackjack idly against his palm, and Jonathan wouldn't need to be an expert at reading body language to see that he had seconds before Hush vaulted over the table between them. "Run."

my ĎĎÉŻŇ˝ÉžĘ are not made for healing                         support                                  or caring       but  will make an á´xá´á´á´á´ÉŞá´É´Â for .
cornflakepizza replied to your post:I feel like Tommy would have really refined taste in flowers and flower arranging due to his upbringing. Maybe it was one of the few nice things he was able to do with his mom. Thoughts?
I was thinking of when he was a small child, while he still had a bit of affection for his mother. Making flower arrangements before having company over might have been a quiet time where they could be near each other and enjoy each otherâs company.
And naturally that wouldn't be something Roger would want anything to do with, so they wouldn't have to worry about him at the time. I actually really like this idea. Headcanon accepted.
