Once Here, Once Loved

the first thing he said when i walked up to his table was "hello there! are you not cold? 🤭" in that slightly 'talking to a small child' voice he did to alex once on tm 🫠💞 waahhh noticing the tiny costume i wore specially for him... AND worrying about me in such a paternal way.... 🤧🥴

i asked if he was having a good day & he said he was. i gave him the goudron mug and @kitmarlowe's wonderful some smart aleck badge and he laughed when he read them & said they were brilliant 🥹

he thought the clue was from tm at first and i was like noo it's from sphinx! and he said ohh i've done too many crosswords haha!!

then i said i had a picture to get signed and i took it out, and he laughed when he saw it 🤦🏻‍♀️ ...

him: haha! wow, a topless signing! me: i hope you don't mind! him: no, of course i don't! who shall i do it to?

i loveeee that he signed his own bod 😭 and put a kiss 😭😭😭 i love how he wrote my name tooo his handwriting is so niiceeee. i said "i loved you in benidorm... obviously 😅" and he said "suure" 💀

i took the cash out from the ? boob bit of my costume, which made him laugh. i said "do you recognise the costume?" and he stared at it for a while trying to work it out >:)c 👁️ 👁️ when i said it was the substance he said "oh i wish i wrote that!" and said it was "fabulous" 💞💅

then i mentioned i was at the brighton q&a & he said oh yes! said he did the crossword i gave him back then, said he "always does the fan crosswords" :') and then i said thanks and he said see you later 🥰

for the q&a i got a seat in the front row. a nice lady broke my 1st Q streak (which lasted... well over a year??) through pure nepotism bc she knew the moderator 😤 but i got in 2nd! i should do a separate post of q&a highlights but here's just my bit :') you can hear me start to smile when he smiled at meee

so happy to finally get to ask this. it's so sweet that he was worried about 'outshining' the understudies. and he can't remember much else about it, love that old man forgetfulness >:)c plus: stoby crumbs! 🤪

when i went up for my first photo op he said "the substance!" 🥰 ty @wintersoulwitch for capturing our little moment 💞 next time i want to ask him to do the ✌️🙂✌️ from my pfp with me :) ughghgh just having my face so close to his face... god he looks so chubby here 🫠 and the blake outfit looks so goood…

after this i went back to the signing table and got a copy of this pic of squires signed, though i haven't taken a photo of this one, he said oh i love that one & i said it's one of my faves <3

i asked if he would be writing a book and he said "if someone asks me, you never know!" & that it would be a puzzle book 🥰 he said "nice to see you" and then i ran off to get cash for a selfie. and then i ran back to the signing table anddd

him: hello! me: hi! and after this i'll stop bothering you him: (laughs) not at all! me: i'm just. your biggest fan him: aw, thank you! me: um... i had thought... you know that scene with pop and patricia, where he puts his hands on her shoulders. him: pop. me: yeah. him: yeah. me: i wondered if maybe i could sit down... him: (already laughing) me: ... and you could put your hands on my shoulders. would you do that, would that be okay? you don't have to! him: of course, no, of course! (still laughing)

and i got THIS PHOTO, more details in that post 🤪 he REALLY laughed at my "oh god!" reaction when i saw the photo. he said "you're very welcome, it's a unique picture!" and then we said bye :') omggg i love it so muuuchh, i'll never be over it... i may ask him to just do it again if i ever get the chance. (if you ever get the chance + inclination, please do it too and show me.) like. the night before, i was lying in bed fantasising about getting to reenact that scene, and now. i have a photo of it. 🫠 thank you steve i love you more than i can say 💗💗💗
