today was a company holiday and I'm not complaining. I woke up leisurely and went to a café for some breakfast and a chance to fart around with this migration stuff which has made a huge step forward. It's still not perfect but we're getting real close, I suspect another week or two.
Anyway, after that I went up to Santa Barbara and got lunch with Kelly, which was awesome and then fighting some light traffic made my way to Summer's place to spend the night. I love that girl.

Today, I was making some progress on work stuff but honestly, I still feel like I'm struggling a little bit. I need a plan to be more focused and successful for my work. Anyway, during my walk in the evening while I was talking to UB. I saw a rocket launch from space force base. Kinda cool.
today was a long ass day. We had the end of the sprint bullshit as well as a two hour deep dive with the customer in the mid morning. All that shit just exhausts me overtime. Summer swung by later that afternoon and we hung out in the backyard for a bit, which was lovely. I wonder what this tree is going to be?
Another absolutely beautiful day. I took it easy for the most part and got some house chores done. Also, as it's Father's Day, I gave my dad a buzz. I noticed that there's this bird in the backyard that really enjoys antagonizing my cat. I think there's a nest somewhere somewhere nearby and it's funny to watch them interact.
well, it's a beautiful Saturday morning and I decided to go for a walk on the beach before things got going. It is so exceptionally wonderful to wake up to a beautiful sunny day rather than June gloom. I went for a ride as well in the Santa Monica's in disappointingly couldn't get the feel right. I don't know, I just couldn't get comfortable and that kind of poured cold water on everything.

I've been getting hard-core distracted the last few days. I'm trying to migrate my journal here and I found some cool tools and methodologies that I'm starting to learn more about and this trial and error of migration is really exciting and challenging. Unfortunately, it's really getting in the way of work.
This stupid composer trade is starting to drive me crazy. I had money in that account and now that money is gone and they migrated some thing and this whole verifying yourself is fucking stupid as they use a shitty third-party. Anyway, I don't know if it's worth it. I think I might just kill the account and move on with my life.
staying over at Summer's place tonight. I need to start doing that more often. I'm feeling the pinch on this particular sprint at work. I don't know why but I'm finding solving these problems more difficult than I would expect.
I don't know, pretty typical day, but after therapy, I decided to go and get a drink.
Today was kind of weird. I woke up feeling pretty good and dug into the days work, but this particular ticket is a struggle for me. I don't have critical information that I need in order to be successful so I think that's going to require a bit of reshuffling.
And then when summer came over this evening, she was very frustrated. She's been having trouble with Ventura's human services department, and I certainly understand. I was doing what I could to help her, but I do feel a bit frustrated a bit sometimes when she comes in like a wrecking ball and the vibe is to get the fuck out of the way.
I don't wanna push my feelings forward, particularly when she's feeling frustrated and caged with a pretty serious situation she's dealing with. But regardless I don't like feeling like that. So who knows maybe something to think about and bring up later.

I haven't been going for walks on the beach as often as I would like. For a while, the tide was wrong and beyond that I just couldn't get motivated. So today I took my time and enjoyed a foggy walk on the California coast.
After that, I started to feel more motivated and went to the store and got resupplied for the week as well as did some cleaning organizing, which felt good.

I felt extremely under the weather. I think it had to do with the poor choices I made yesterday and I need to keep that as a lesson moving forward.
Also, it's probably a good idea that that barbecue didn't work out because the weather sucked today.
Today was kind of all over the place. I did join standup for work because I wanted to make sure nothing was on fire. after that, I randomly decided to head to Palmdale and go to this cool little outdoor aircraft museum. They have a little subsection called blackbird Park, which has both the SR- 71 and the A–12 on display.
I'm not 100% sure but I feel like that's the only place on earth. You can see the two of them next to each other. I've always been partial to the A-12 because it was the original. All of the painstaking frustrating designing was done on that aircraft and the SR-71 was the recipient to evolve that knowledge.
Anyway, I made the mistake of getting bad food for lunch and then riding home feeling kind of shitty. Then I went to Topa Topa and after two drinks decided to make another bad decision. Honestly, I can't do that ever again it's just too much.
Summers pottery studio place was having this sort of open night thing that they do once a month and it was honestly really cool.
I've been fairly disciplined this week. Definitely think that the whole taking tomorrow off is making me want to start celebrating early, but I'm gonna do my best.
I was doing a little cleanup for work today, but nothing serious. The sun finally came out this afternoon and I was hanging out under the sunshade watching Matt Damon chase this bird that I'm pretty sure was mocking him.

I'm finally done with the increment. Who was a crazy two weeks but I'm really really glad to have that behind me. Outside of work yesterday was also pretty freaking busy so today. I'm looking forward to just taking a breather and trying to recover from some light burnout.
Lonely
I can't think of a better way to put it. I have no friends near me and I feel like I miss what ever is needed to engage with the people around me. I feel like those around me all seem to see me as some kind of strange guy. I'm sure I has to do with my demeanor and resting asshole face but that doesn't make it feel any better.
It feels like no one wants to be my friend, but I'm sure that has to do with the general demeanor I give off not making others feel welcome.
