reminders i need to like, tattoo on my brain:

1. if you feel judged and hurt by others, try sleeping

2. if you feel judgmental and resentful of others, try eating (the classics)

3. if you feel uncomfortable, try showering

4. if you feel directionless and afraid, go sit outside for a bit and maybe then you'll calm down. maybe even a walk if youre feelin crazy

5. take it easy, but by god, take it

I'm doing my MD in Russia. I'll graduate in 2028...I'm planning to give Step 1 in 2027 and Step 2 in 2028 and go for the 2029 match cycle...is this a realistic approach or am I being too delusional and need more time?

I don't think that's crazy. We take our step exams in the US within that same timeframe.

I have been told IMG's are more competitive if they take Step 3, but I'm not the person to ask about that. It may be better to ask IMG's who successfully matched in the US because it's a very different experience from US MD students

I am in my intern year. I graduated with my US MD in May.

I am a non-trad so yes I have two B.A degrees. I had to take community college coursework to meet the pre-reqs.

My 1st day of intern year actually went really well!

Specific things that went well:

My chief is AMAZING

My chief told me the attending said I was strong and wanted to work with me more (he will not bc i am on an off-service rotation)

My 4 patients are okay!

Only got lost twice

Laughs:

Walking thru the CCU by accident while lost

My chief loves to cuss and it's fun

Accidentally introducing myself to pts by 1st name forgetting im the doctor now
