Hey. If people aren't aware, Microsoft admitted they know who you and where you are at all times and will give your info to the police.
They have a Global Device Identifier (GDID) Tracker that functions as a fingerprint for your PC that can surpass VPNs, proxy servers and countries. Although it can't survive a clean reinstall of Windows (it can survive updates), because Microsoft forces you to go to the internet and log in into a Microsoft account, they will be able to get to you.
Microsoft kept it secret and it was only found out when the FBI tracked a hacker thanks to the information Microsoft gave them.
You should be paying attention to this, and possibly consider moving away from Windows. If a government, especially the US government, doesn't like you for some reason, this could be seriously concerning.

For journalism, activism, or domestic abuse situations, skip Windows and use Linux routed through Tor instead of a commercial VPN. A GDID doesn’t care which VPN you use, only that it’s still the same Windows installation.

What has researchers uneasy is everything else the case reveals. Costin Raiu, a well-known malware researcher, asked on the Three Buddy Problem podcast how much of this exists on other platforms, and whether it is linked more permanently to hardware. Matthew Hickey, another security researcher, called Windows “surveillance software”.
Two things back that up:
There’s no consent screen. A GDID gets assigned when you sign into a Microsoft Account. Apple’s advertising identifier needs an App Tracking Transparency prompt and a visible reset; Android’s works the same way. GDID has neither, and a Windows reinstall only gets you a new number Microsoft can still get back to the same account.
Then there’s activation. Massgrave, the group behind Microsoft Activation Scripts, notes that Windows setup sends hardware info to Microsoft and gets identifiers back, the same tokens later used for Store access and licensing: “It’s impossible to prevent Windows from getting a GDID without breaking activation and UWP app[s].” Anyone who lost a license after swapping a motherboard has already met a smaller version of this.

the whole "insulting someone based on their appearance is bad because it could indirectly hurt people you like who share that feature" is a good start for unlearning body shaming but i do think we need to go further and remind people that even if there was some physical trait that was magically 10000% exclusive to conservatives and creeps and nobody else ever had it, we still shouldnt be insulting them based on that. because the problem with them is not their appearance its their ideology and actions. by insulting their appearance you arent just indirectly insulting others who look like that, youre literally not making the correct point. stay on topic ya know.

My opinion on the current direction of gunnerkrigg court is that when you first meet Jenny you assume she's just a rebound for Jack, but then you learn that actually the two of them have their shit worked out better than you thought, and although their situation is a little unconventional they're making it work, and I thought that was kinda nice, like challenging both Annie and the reader's initial assumptions about them. And then like ten years later it turns out that actually no, she's an evil harpy using her trickster pussy to intoxicate and manipulate Jack, and your immediate reaction was the right one,

look, i am enjoying this entire "evil witches" arc going on, i love noa's entire deal and i like that we just have this group of crazy witches going around causing trouble for reasons, but
a) it really feels like it came kind of out of nowhere. like we were all focused on the court leaving for the new world they were constructing and there was coyote's plot and loup causing mayhem and it all intersected with zimmy and it was like, we got a good thing going on here, but you know what would make it better...? sprinkling some last minute villains out of nowhere!
and b) why witches? why did tom suddenly decide that some witches we've never seen before should be the latest conflict in this plot? for a comic that time and again loved to subvert our expectations regarding mythological creatures and how spooky they really are and how a lot of times what seems dangerous is merely misunderstood, we now have a coven of evil witches played completly straight and it feels almost out of step with the general ethos of this comic so far.
also is really funny that tom decided to show jenny's true colors by changing her design to make her look like a 50's housewife.

IDK I think if cis men are being told that being fat will lower their testosterone and make them Insufficiently Masculine, and cis women are being told that being fat will raise their testosterone and make them Excessively Masculine, and fat trans people are being denied the right to medically transition if they're fat, and thin trans people are warned against HRT because it will make them fat (and this is said about both testosterone and estrogen HRT), and androgynous-presenting people are told that only thin people count as androgynous...

I love when people try to gotcha me on my stance that all sports should be gender integrated with "even American football???" because I can instantly come back with "oh lmao, no, I don't think ANYONE should play American football at all, it's way too dangerous" like nice try but I know no amount of testosterone is going to protect you from the profound, life ruining health issues caused by getting repeated severe concussions over the course of several years. No one should play this sport.
Like do you really think muscle mass or gender/sex can protect you from CTE?? You think men are naturally more resistant to concussions?? Because idk how else you square this sport being too dangerous for cis women and people afab but perfectly safe for cis men and people amab. Having a testosterone dominant endocrine system isn't gonna do shit in the face of traumatic brain injury. Be serious. This sport should not exist.

we have to write poems in my creative writing certificate program, so I pieced something together from Belphie's medical reports
my professor really liked this and said that it should be 'the nucleus of a chapbook' (so like 15-30 poems of the same theme that I would attempt to get published) but now I feel awkward because I think that she thinks HE DIED? but it turns out, everything will be alright! his heart recovered! the FIP meds are working!

what’s your guys’ opinion on the “james is alive” theory
I like to think it varies based on which continuity we're talking (SNES vs 64-Command vs Zero).
In Zero Andross pretty much confirms he's actually alive ("Why won't you stay dead!?"). I don't remember much of the details (such as why he doesn't show his face to ppl) bc it's been a while since I watched a playthrough but yeah 99% chance he's alive p much.
On the other end of the spectrum SF64/26 true ending heavily implies that he's either a vision or a ghost bc he's got a weird glow + no collision box (Adventures outright confirms the existence of ghosts so I lean toward ghost!James; but from what I read Command makes it kinda weird by having enemies able to see/attack him but Falco + Slippy can't see him sooo ??).
SNES!James (aka Fox Sr) is a lot weirder of a case in that he disappeared in the Black Hole made by Andross and never returned. The Black Hole level functions as a warp zone between the pathways so it's entirely possible he just got transported to someplace else, or the space junk enemies could've done him in. It's probably the most ambiguous fate of the bunch.
