Halley handed her actual belt over to Morrigan and her helmet. “You deserve more than a belt but that’s all I can take off in public.”

“Gotcha champ.”  Halley kissed her cheek.

With a grin Morrigan swept Halley up in her arms and carried her towards the bedroom. "Now it's time for round 2, you pin me this time."

Qrow refused to break his word again, so he didn’t promise anything, couldn’t in fact, Neo had seen enough broken things in her life. He couldn’t add another promise to the pile. “I’m here now, and I think I’ve earned some time off. So I won’t be going anywhere for awhile.”

Qrow held Neo close, giving her a gentle squeeze in response to her apology. A part of him wanted to tell her she had nothing to apologize for, but that would taste a lie and insult her intelligence. Both of them had more than their fair share to answer for someday, that was just a fact. But for this moment none of that mattered, right now it was just a man consoling his daughter. "I'm sorry too kiddo, I really am."

Qrow held up his hands in a placating gesture, he knew how to pick his battles and he wasn't quite drunk enough to pick one with Glynda right then. "Ok ok, that's fair. Next job I take that's not deep cover under the table stuff, aka actual huntsman work I get paid for, I'll be sure a fair portion of the pay for it finds its way into beacons collateral damage fund."

Qrow chuckled, at least he was honest. "Sounds like a real tragedy, but this flask is for me and me alone, also I'm pretty sure Glynda might actually kill me if I started handing out booze to students. Sorry kid."
