Painted my entryway this weekend. I finally bit the bullet & chose a color last week. Diva Glam by Behr Paint.

I’m not the neatest painter sooo there was pink paint everywhere...It dripped down the walls, splattered on the floor, smeared around from paper towels I used to wipe splatter drops. I even have paint on the back slab where I was washing the brushes outside...and I got watered down drops splattered all over me while I was hosing it down. It was all over my hands, my clothes, which tracked it onto my sofa. It was everywhere. It’s cleaned up now and I’m completely happy with how it turned out.

It took a couple of days. I did a lot of prep by taping off the ceiling and the baseboards. It turned out to be a complete waste of time. I still had bleeding and still had to go back & do all of the trim. Anyway, most of the weekend was working on the house. I was able to listen to lots of podcasts so I was productive in that way. Got lots of ideas & inspiration to keep at the coloring pages.

Ordered a #selfiestick (I know! Guess I’m one of those people now?) that turns into a #tripod with a wireless remote to start doing videos of my projects. I know I should have started doing them when I first moved into the house & working on projects. I do have photos of the before & after but I was a bit rushed on the move in part to really set up something the right way...so the selfie stick. I’ll try to restage some of the techniques I used for the completed projects and video document the new ones as I remodel the house.

Today was the day I FINALLY put up motion lights in front of my house AND didn’t electrocute myself! I bought them when I first got the house. There were cut outs in the front by the garage for lights. All of the neighbors have lights. My house no lights. I kept putting it off & the weather wasn’t cooperative either. 

The first light took about 4 hours and I’m not sure it’s even going to work. There are a lot of settings to figure out so it might have to be redone tomorrow. I’ll have to wait until the sun goes away to mess with it. 

The second light went much quicker because I couldn’t wire it. The cut end of the wire was looped inside the box and the end shoved into the house. I pulled both ends and they didn’t move. I put the light up so I at least have both of them up but I’ll have to go back & figure it out. I think I’ll have to pull the box out to fish out the cut end & then wire it. Also a tomorrow job. I was also able to listen to a lot of podcasts so I was able to get some motivation & ideas in too.

Another year of Comicpalooza has come & gone over the past weekend. This year was the first time I didn’t attend all 3 days. Moola is tight so I only went on Saturday (better one day than no days). Met up with old friends. Met a couple of new ones. Bought a few new prints and got an awesome piece of art from the live art auction. Sunday I spent most of the day looking through artwork I have and deciding what to frame & where to hang things.

Busy and doing stuff. Working all day. Computer stuff all night and coloring too. Need to prep for Comicpalooza. It’s almost that time again. Debating if I’m going to do a photo op or not. Need to get my gear together too. Only doing Saturday this year which will be weird since I usually do all 3 days.

I was shooting for daily but I’ve been too busy. Did another watch of Avengers Endgame. Picked up on more and since I went back looking for spoilers after the first viewing things made a bit more sense...or I was atleast able to let the perceived plot holes go.

I’ve also gotten sucked into doing surveys. they offer rewards for opinions. Some can be transferred into cash. The payouts aren’t huge but they seems to add up & a few bucks earned here or there while watching tv can’t hurt anything. So my initial opinion is I can’t live off of it but it’s a little help to stretch the paycheck until I can get things going with the coloring pages...since there doesn’t seem to be a raise or a new job in the near future. I’ll keep looking but nothing seems hopeful on the new job front.

So I watched Endgame on Thursday & I’ve spent most of today watching a variety of Avenger movies - Age of Ultron, Civil War and currently Ragnarok.

At some point I plan a rewatch of Endgame in the theatre. There was so much in those 3 hours and also I went searching for all the spoilers and fan theories I could find. It did answer some questions I had and raised more I hadn’t thought of.

Haven’t been here in a while. Going to restart blogging and have some sort of accountability. I started creating coloring pages from my photos. Not sure exactly what direction I want to go. Started with the idea of a subscription but that seems a bit cost prohibitive for now. I have posted some digital files a few places for sale and see what happens with that. Trying to figure out how to get some traffic there so I guess here and I’m getting the social media thing squared away.
