a lot of companies sell pride merchandise in june with proceeds benefitting only the company itself. here’s a list compiled of companies whose pride collections actually benefit lgbtq+ organizations. feel free to reblog with any that we’ve missed with any percent of proceeds going towards charity.

- converse: 100% of profits from their pride collection goes towards organizations such as Happy Hippie Foundation, It Gets Better Project, Minus 18, and RainbowYOUTH.

- american eagle: 100% of profits from their pride collection goes to the It Gets Better Project.

- levi’s: 100% of profits from their collection goes to The Harvey Milk Foundation and the Stonewall Community Foundation.

- abercrombie &fitch: 100% of profits from their gender neutral collection and up to $20,000 separately goes to The Trevor Project

- zenni optical: 100% of proceeds from this pride spectacle collection goes to the It Gets Better Project.

- under armour: 100% of proceeds from their collection goes to Athlete Ally.

- milk makeup: 50% of the proceeds from this vegan, cruelty free makeup brand will go to The Center.

- j crew and madewell: 50% of profits from their collection go to the Human Rights Campaign.

- harry’s: 100% of profits goes towards organizations such as APLA Health; Evelina London Children’s Hospital (Rainbow Badge Project); GLAAD; GLSEN; IraQueer; the Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, All-Sexuals and Gays; Mermaid’s; Newark LGBTQ Community Center; Peter Tatchell Foundation; Self Evident Truths Project; TransTech Social Enterprises; and the True Colors Fund

- urban outfitters: donate $10-$15 per item bought in their pride collection towards GLSEN

- everlane: 20% of proceeds towards Human Rights Campaign

- h&m: 10% of proceeds from their collection go towards United Nations Free and Equal-they guarantee that their company will in total donate a minimum of $350,000

- disney: 10% of proceeds from their mickey mouse ears go towards GLSEN-they say they will donate a total of $50,000

- soulcycle: 5% of all pride pack proceeds go to the Trevor Project, up to $50,000

- warby parker: no percent, but they donated $20,000 to the Trevor Project and Lambda Legal

- 2(X)IST: no percent, but they donated $15,000 to the Trevor Project

- Honey is mostly sugar (WoW!) it is 80% sugar and 20% water (double WoW!)

- There are over 20,000 species of bees, but only 4 make HONEY

-Honey is the ONLY food that contains all the substances you need to survive (Including WATER)

-Children under the age of 1 should not eat honey… why? because sometimes it contains bad stuff called botulism and can cause them to get botulism poisoning (that sucks, even infants should taste the deliciousness that is honey)

-Honey will crystallize under optimum temperatures (this has a lot to do with how you store it)

-Bees produce honey to eat during the winter when there are no flowers and no nectar for them.

-A honeybee would only need an ounce of honey to be able to fuel a flight around the world (this makes for a very cultural bee!)
