Tara, If you are reading this, then I am probably dead. I know we intended to go to our Calling together, but it seems that the world had other plans. I’m sorry. 

I know I never told you how much you meant to me, because let’s face it, it would make your head swell up and you’d float away into the sun. I do love you (not that way, don’t be gross). You’re more than my best friend, you’re my sister, even if we don’t share blood. There have been times I’ve wanted to wring your neck, but at the end of the day, I knew I could always count on you. I can only hope that I’ve been just as good a friend to you as you’ve been to me. 

You asked me once if the world would have been better off if you and Duncan had traded places at Ostagar. The truth is, I don’t know. I don’t know what Duncan would have done if he would have survived. I don’t know if things would have been different. All I know is that my life wouldn’t have been better. Knowing you has made me a better person, Tara, and all things considered, I think Duncan would have been proud of both of us.
