➸:Something you like about your fandom
I love how enthusiastically we’ve thrown ourselves into the world and the lore and the culture of this fandom. I love seeing people giving careful and deliberate thought to things like the social justice issues of Thedas–not just from our perspective, in a modern society, but from THEIR perspective as well. I have my own hang-ups about Project Elvhen, but I am not going to deny that it’s amazing, that someone took the bits and pieces Bioware gave us and is reconstructing an entire conlang from that. I love seeing the meta that people write about things like magic, the Fade, spirits. I love seeing the theories that people come up with that weaves this entire world together in a way more cohesive and deep and astounding than what we’ve been given. It’s amazing.
☮:Something you’re confident about with your writing
I love my writing style and I will never falter in that. I haven’t ever gotten much critique, but I really, really and truly, love the rhythm and flow of the words I write. I don’t know if it’s skill as a writer, or training as a musician, or what, but words and phrases are like strains of melody to me, and I feel pretty damned confident in my ability to build them. My writing has a tempo and a cadence and while I may not always use the best words, and I may not always be as concise as I should, and I may not always get my characters’ voices as spot-on as I’d like…I’m still, at the end of the day, pleased with the feel.
♈:An argument/topic that you could debate all day
Oh god. None, actually. I’m really really bad at debates and arguments–they exhaust me, they make me anxious and nervous. I have dominant Fi and auxiliary Ne, which means that I have very strong internal feelings about things but that I can’t always articulate them well (because they’re so innate), and I can’t ever seem to settle on one point because I feel like I’m constantly looking at it from different angles. I do love to debate and argue!–I just can’t maintain it “all day”.
