i saw some1 on tiktok talking about yeemo and the late 2010’s alternative internet and it really made me think about considering yeemo as a valid alternative subculture. like when i was in middle school that stuff was largely what “emo” was despite it being centered around pop-punk bands. the declining hot topic fashion, fandom culture, crankthatfrank/jessievee, discovering bisexuality, etc. there was something so distinct and unifying about it idk (not the s3lf-h4rm and 3d stuff but that’s besides the point)
