Tip of the cap to the Vimeo design team. Not only do I love using their API and dev tools, but I enjoy looking at them too :)

A large part of my daily tasks these days involve integration with external APIs to be used for acquiring media content. Whenever I get a chance to work with one as simple as the 5min Video API, I'm a happy camper. That is all.

As much of a OS X fanboy as I am, I must say that it is pretty exciting to see Microsoft reinventing their own wheel. Who knows, maybe I'll honor Windows 8 with a bootcamp partition...maybe.

I love the sound of this, however, if I don't see a copycat effort from Google, it may as well be useless to me.

In recent development, I have been tasked with determining a simple way to manage customers and their payment methods and history. After doing some browsing and conversing with colleagues, I stumbled upon Stripe. After spending a couple hours with my server and their API, I couldn't be happier. Simple and easy to use, this service is incredibly developer friendly. So if you find yourself in need of such a system, look no further than Stripe, it has everything you need. And is has a Node library!

From cash to cards to my phone, making payments has become a more simple process than ever before. And now I can pay for my coffee with an app! I fear the caffeine-induced consequences...

A coworker shared this 'experimental' Node project with me. I'm looking forward to giving it a try!

I colleague of mine recently directed me towards this project. As somebody who heavily develops in JS and somebody who is always attempting to master best practices, I thought this was a pretty neat little effort to document some of the standard patterns that are used in JS development. Enjoy!

I stumbled across this on Webmonkey. As somebody who strives for minimalism in my design, I found it to be pretty neat.

As developers, we are always striving to produce simple, minimalist, and readable documentation for the awesome applications we create. As a heavy user of the Express web application framework, I must tip my hat to TJ Holowaychuk and his documentation of the framework. I hope to be able to document my projects as well someday.

As somewhat of a newcomer to the web application developer community, I have found myself tasked with some projects that make heavy use of the node.js platform. In an effort to familiarize myself with the platform and all of its JavaScripty goodness, I stumbled upon this video of Ryan Dahl (node's creator).
