One thing is to believe the Morrissey-Marr propaganda of "The Smiths were them/The Smiths was Moz's baby", but another thing is to ACTUALLY say Mike and Andy were just hired musicians. They were absolutely talented people and their respective playing is part of what makes the sound so special and unique. When I first heard "The last of famous international playboys" by Moz I could INSTANTLY feel the upgrade of the instrumental, no offence to Moz's band but Andy and Mike are simply underrated geniuses. That bass and drums are what makes it sound so fucking good

Seeing Moz's new tour this year, I think it's cute how he finally returned to his initial aesthetic of wearing loose woman shirts, flowers and t-shirts of the bands he enjoys 💓
