Love this little moment between J and P :)

I'm reading a Book by a Finnish musician Jiri Nikkinen who's even more obsessed with the Beatles than I am, he has made playing Beatles his livelihood. In the book he tells about a guy he met who had seen the Beatles play in UK in 64. The guy had especially mentioned being surprised at how small the boys were. It got me thinking, because the same thing was mentioned in the lovely book Beatleness a couple of times by fans who had managed to sneak into their hotel and saw them at the corridors

I did some googling, and the measurements marked on the pic above (found it from fb) seem to be the right ones. It might be that their cuban heels were added to the "official" numbers but even so, they were by no means particularly short. The average height for a man born in the UK in the early forties was about 174/175cm (roughly 5ft 8½in to 5ft 9in) so they (ecxept Ringo) were of average height, maybe a bit taller than average.
