Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are, up above the sky so high, like a diamond in the sky... Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are... Every planet I visit war, anger, greed. A thousand years with nothing. Does this endless space have no true heart? It was that, which I thought for eons. I was passing by galaxies. My dark shape invisible throughout the endless array of stars. Although some looked like shining pearls, full of innocence, a dark shadow lurched inside. I was starting to believe that hope wasn't an option. Until... "huh?". I thought as a bright light stopped my path. It was a spiral shaped galaxy. Emitting a blinding light. It slowly spun, as minuscule specks of rocks, planets, and star mixed together. "interesting ". I said to myself, speeding towards the system. The stars slowly began to separate as I was in the middle of the galaxy. I looked around, small rocks brushing against my fur. As I looked behind, a star was burning bright. Emitting heat and flares. I slowly exanimated my surroundings after taking a good look at the burning giant. I shone the light on my head and looking around. "impossible". I said to my self. A tiny planet barely the size of any around. But the planet had bright shades of green and blue. Not a single streak of evil showing. I was overjoyed. As I rushed towards the planet, I could start seeing the green matter and the blue liquids. But as soon as I approached, I was taken by surprise. By change in the gravity, I'm losing my control. I tried to regain control, but no avail. I had no other choice but plunge into the ground. As the ground was upon me, I closed my eyes. I then woke up. A massive hole had been created where I landed. The bright light was beautiful. The blue skies and the green spreading across the whole land. "Peace. I had found it, hadn't I?". As soon as I tried to get up, I let out an ear shattering howl. The fall had hurt me and not in light ways. The gravity had sped me up my fall by at least 10 times. As I kept trying, the result were nothing but more and more pain. I let my head fall on the ground, as soon as I saw a figure. Then two, no. Three. And then thousands of more creature came running towards me. But they didn't attack me. One by one started going under me. Lifting me up on what I believe were their heads. I tried to get up, but I was even more exhausted than before. Whimpering a little bit, I blacked out. I woke up to see a face. A white round face. I couldn't feel my legs very well. And the white figure kept staring at me. I struggled to talk. "who are you?" I asked. She smiled gently. That moment I could feel my soul shifting. The way she smiled was something I had never encountered. "that does not matter right now. " She said. I tried to stay still, remembering what happened. " where am I?" I said. Slowly regaining myself. "home." she said. I was confused at first, but then I realized that this was her home. She checked my leg, wrapping it with green object. I then moved my leg around for a moment, realizing the numbness. "it will heal." she said. Smiling again. I looked at her with an unsure face. I turned away from her, and getting up. Then I realized, I was in a dome. A strange dome looking twisted. The ground was soft and moist, and the wall looked tough and solid. I then proceed to trot out with a slight limp in my leg. And I focused my self to fly, nothing happened. I was too hurt to fly. I concluded. As I lied down again, she came and sat by. "you're too hurt to fly. Aren't you?" she said, while rubbing my head. Before I could say anything, I stayed calm. Her hand felt so soft. Then it came to me again. I had found innocence. I had found peaceful land. I smiled on the inside. I was still unsure about the lady. But she seemed to be nice. She then looked up into the sky, covering one eye with her hand squinting. "Huh, strange the Sun is coming down soon." she said, helping me up by putting her hands under my stomach, and lifting me up slowly. I had never received so much care before. I had started to cherish that. As slowly walked back, I realized that there were spiralling stairs running across the wall. She guided me up the stairs into a large room. The large room was lit with small torches. The dim light filling the room. "you will rest here" she said, pointing towards a side of the room. It was something that looked rectangle supported by four legs. I was hesitant at first, but I soon proceeded to get on the object. It gave me an odd but comfortable feeling. "what is this?" I asked. Smiling and giggling she said : "a bed. It's what you sleep on." I looked back at the object and nodded. A silence followed after, but not for long. "some time ago you said we were home. What did you mean?" I asked. "it's my planet. Or... Yours too, while you stay here." "my planet... Does that mean that you're the only one living in here?" "nope, I have my friends, the rabbits." "rabbits? Those furry creatures?" "correct." After another silence, she started the chat. " I haven't seen anything like you before. Where did you come from?" When Ithought about that question, I wondered too. Looking back, I hadn't remembered anything from my life except roaming around for a clean planet. "i am uncertain." I said. And that is when I heard a gasp from her. "wha-" she said, while looking through a window at the room. The sky was dark. "this is not normal, I take it?" I said. "no, not normal." And that is when she realized the connection. "your fur has pattern of the stars." she said, looking closely at me. At her sight, some stars sparkled inside me. "amazing! How did you do that?" she asked, excited. "I have seen this before some planets." I seem to have some sort of effect on the time. She wondered for a moment and said "come on, follow me!" I got of the bed, limping, and then soon she ran to help me. As we walked outside, the rabbits were lying everywhere, sleeping. She took me farther, behind her large home. Brown structures with the green tops grew everywhere, the silver light pouring through the cracks. As the structures began to tilt up, we started to slowly go up a hill. At the top of the hill, there was a flat area, with red machine sitting right in the middle. She got up on the red machine, and pulled me up with her. Sitting on it, she looked up at stars. "you sit like a cat." she said, giggling. I assumed that it was some sort of animal in this earth. She let in a deep breath and said : "I sometimes look up at stars, and gaze for hours. But this, is something I have never seen." "Is that so?" I asked. She nodded, smiling. But as I moved, shifting my self to be more comfortable, she realized something in the sky. The stars had shifted. Some of them speeding like shooting stars. "did you just do that?" she asked. "what?" I said. "wait a moment. Move again!" I did as she said, and I realized it too, the sky shifted. Her face lit up in wonder, as she looked at me. I had to admit, that I was surprised too. And then, in no time we were both looking at the skies. "you know? it's lonely to live alone." she said. "I understand." I said. She smiled back at me, as we kept admiring the sky. Her blank stare was getting scary, but I realized I had a blank stare too. No word were involved in this time, but it didn't feel so uncomfortable. It actually felt soothing, sitting there, gazing at the infinite array of stars. She then took on hand, and put it on my shoulder. I got instantly uncomfortable,as I moved it back down. She then did not move for a moment, until she sat closer to me, leaning her head on my fur. My heart suddenly began to beat rapidly, and unfamiliar feeling took over me. "thank you." I said, remembering the morning. "no need to apologize, Starwolf." "Starwolf?" I asked. "yeah, it's a name I decided to give you." She said. The urge to leave suddenly disappeared, and I wanted to stay more with her. "Starwolf... Then I will call you Rabbit Girl." I said. "Rabbit Girl, I like it!" She said. She was smiling, and realized in no time, that I was too. I did not know how I could do that. "you know? There is a song I once found, digging through some piles of rocks. The paper looked old and dirty, but it was readable." she said. I looked at her, wondering. "do you want to hear it?" "yes I would." She cleared her throat and sang "Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are, up above the sky so high, like a diamond in the sky... Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are..." Her voice rang across the sky. The stars seeming to respond at her voice. And that was when both of them know, this was the start of a wonderful relationship. THE END #chiarabautista #legendjam #starwolf #rabbitgirl
