Popcorn

I was so exited to see this film on the big screen, and this large family sits a few seats down. Let’s go through the list.

- one man falls asleep and lets out a snore during the final shot of the movie.

- one guy is talking during the entire first half of the movie, presumably on a phone call, but I can’t be sure

- someone is getting random notifications and did not mute their phone. A few alarms go off as well.

- one of the kids found out his seat squeaked and messed with that for a solid 15 minutes. I get it’s hard to control kids, but one shush would have been fine.

- a lady is on her phone for the entire movie. She accidentally clicked on a video or something during a really dramatic moment. She muted her phone and than kept scrolling

- all this summed up with the mess that they left at their seats.

Pippin pledges himself to Denethor because he feels like he has to, like he owes him. Merry pledges himself to Theoden because he is a god and respectful king.

Pippin disobeys Denethor to protect Faramir, because he is dangerous. Merry disobeys Theoden to protect him, because he wants to fight.
