By the end of the mission, you have definitely earned his respect. You are more than capable for a Hashira. If anything, Giyuu is actually a little disappointed that he probably won’t work with you again, now that you have proven yourself.

But like Sanemi and Obanai work together, you and Giyuu become another team. You work flawlessly together. Over time, Giyuu learns more about you. Even though he had suspected it, he still couldn’t believe it. You were a Hashira for gods’ sake, how could you let a man touch you like that?

“You must leave him,” Giyuu told you. “You can come stay with me at the Water Hashira estate.”

“I can’t… and I couldn’t ask you to do that.” You sniffled.

You two grow closer after your disclosure. He learns that some of your husband’s anger stems from Giyuu himself. Your husband doesn’t like that you are sent on missions alone with men. He threatens to make you leave the corps, your livelihood. Giyuu snickered when you told him that. That coward wouldn’t have the balls to control a woman like you, that’s why he had to hit you.

A man like Giyuu, on the other hand, wouldn’t have to use violence to get you to listen.

It’s sudden, or at least it feels that way. One moment Giyuu imagines killing your husband and the next he’s imagining being your husband. Giyuu liked going on missions with you, liked talking with you, being with you… you are the first person in a while who has made him feel so strongly. 

He knows you’re married, knows that you are supposedly in love with the man who beats you out of jealousy and pathetic anger. But he sounds unafraid when he calls you by your name on another walk back home, his feet planted in the path.

“I think you should leave your husband.” His voice is quiet, but it reaches your ears instantly. “And be with me instead.”

After investigating the bath, Giyuu had returned to the room, sitting at the foot of the bed. You hadn’t even heard him come in. How silly that you believed both of you were on the same level as fellow Hashira, but no amount of practice could equate to his years of experience. 

“Giyuu…” you spoke first this time, voice low and murky. “Giyuu, you have to let me go.”

He fiddled with his fingers as if he was nervous. “You know I can’t do that.”

“But… you can’t just keep me here…” you laughed. “I’m- I’m a Hashira. I’m needed.”

He nodded. “...not if they think you’re dead.”

“How?” Your fists clenched at your sides. 

Giyuu stood, silently shuffling toward you until he towered over you. You never really thought about his height until you were looking up at him with fear gripping your bones.

“I had to kill your crow. I’m sorry.”

Now you were the one in disbelief. How could the man you had been travelling with all this time be such a monster? Surely this couldn’t be him… he was different now, a demon. You needed to find your sword, to slay this beast…

Giyuu anticipated your struggle. He dodged most of your blows and took others like they were feather-light. You were giving him your all, but it seemed like he didn’t even break a sweat. You tried to tell yourself it was whatever he put in your tea weakened you.

Or maybe he had always been this strong.

concerning demon slayer and the trio, i haven't been in the fandom as long as most have, so i wasn't sure what the general consensus was (even though at the end of the day i shouldn't care because you're so right tanjiro is peak trad yandere...) but i will give it a try!!

Just because Yuuji is at the bottom of the list doesn’t mean he’s a saint. I think eventually, if you were really stubborn, Nanami would resort to drugging you. Just a little dissolving tablet into your evening drink and you’re out for the night. The first time he doesn’t even do anything, just watches you sleep up close, stroking your hair and leaving kisses in his wake. Like Choso and Nanami, I think he would do his best to restrain from pushing you too far as long as he can.

I think it would take something drastic to make him snap. Like maybe you escaped for a while or got in contact with someone from the outside world. Megumi hates to punish you, but you must understand that there are consequences to your actions. He shushes you, whispering I know, I know while you cry that his cock inside of you hurts. He’s trying to show you how much he loves you in the only way he can (because he’s too repressed to communicate his feelings… hence your kidnapping situation).
