I kinda dislike when some of the fandom makes Yami the ‘dad’ of the black bulls, like, he’s their captain and that’s a different relationship dynamic. Having a captain means a different thing to each of the black bulls, especially the ones as old as or older than Yami.

There doesn’t need to be a dad or a mom; it’s a found family troupe, there’s older adults, younger adults, and teenagers and they all love each as a group of people that’ve found home with each other. Don’t nuclear-family the found-family pls&ty

I can kinda see Yami being a parental-ish mentor figure for Asta, but no one else, like Noelle’s brother is older than Yami so I doubt she’d see him in a paternal light and everyone else is over 18 and mostly not needing life guidance.
