Philly’s Acori Honzo couldn’t find figurines of Black folks, so he started sculpting them  

“Shortly after the 2008 death of actor Heath Ledger, Philadelphia artist Acori Honzo studied the intricate details of a 12-inch figurine of Ledger’s Joker character from The Dark Knight. His wife had purchased the figurine while shopping at Comic Universe in Delaware County. 

Inspired, Honzo decided to start collecting figurines. He wanted to include Black characters and celebrities in his collection, but when he searched for them, he couldn’t find any. So he bought sculpting supplies to create his own…“

41 year old, EMMY AWARD winning actor, STERLING K. BROWN has been on my radar for a little over two years now. Presently, Sterling stars as Randall Pearson on the critically acclaimed and commercially successful NBC series, “This Is Us”. Prior to securing this leading role, most of America saw Sterling K Brown take on the supporting character of Christopher Darden in the limited television series, “American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson”. 

He has secured acting honors for both coveted, television roles.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Sterling grew up and pursued theater by attending the drama program at Stanford University. Then, he garnered his Masters of Fine Arts degree in theater from NYU. Sterling presently resides in Los Angeles, California alongside his beautiful black wife, Ryan Michelle and their two children.

and as much as i truly respect Sterling for his craft, I also give him his props for keeping that forty and over body t o g e t h e r . after 30, its tough as hell to maintain abs, solid pecs and strong arms. he’s doing it!
