HiiiiiΒ Amoebae,Β IΒ hopeΒ youβreΒ doingΒ well!Β CouldΒ youΒ pleaseΒ helpΒ meΒ withΒ anΒ issueΒ IβveΒ beenΒ having?π₯Ί
IΒ recentlyΒ resubscribedΒ toΒ MartyβsΒ shadersΒ andΒ noticedΒ thatΒ RTGIΒ isΒ nowΒ splitΒ intoΒ twoΒ separateΒ shaders.Β However,Β whenΒ IΒ tryΒ increasingΒ theΒ ObjectΒ ThicknessΒ valueΒ inΒ theΒ diffuseΒ shader,Β objectsΒ litΒ byΒ theΒ lightΒ sourceΒ startΒ toΒ showΒ harsh,Β jaggedΒ edgesΒ (picΒ 2),Β evenΒ whenΒ theΒ valueΒ isnβtΒ setΒ veryΒ high.Β ThisΒ didnβtΒ happenΒ whenΒ IΒ wasΒ usingΒ theΒ olderΒ versionΒ ofΒ RTGIΒ (picΒ 1).
Also, I just want to say thank you sooooo much for everything you share with the community. Iβve watched a lot of your tutorials, and theyβve been incredibly helpful for someone like me who didnβt know anything about ReShade!!
Hi!
This isn't something I've seen before. Make sure you have the diffuse shader above the specular shader, and that Launchpad is turned on and placed above them both. And make sure you don't have any other shaders (apart from ReLight, because that can sometimes look more realistic if it's placed above RTGI) above RTGI. What value are you trying to change object thickness to? I my experience lower numbers produce a more natural result, and iirc the default is something like 4.000, which is way too high already. I tend to drop it to around 0.250 as a starting point and see how it looks, and adjust from there.
