26 kilograms of haunted armour

Im prepared for a wave of hatred when I say this. In fanfics I don’t care about any character that isn’t in the game. Some fics have full chapters with characters that are from actual Czech history, random created npcs… the most notable example is fics with Jitka of Kunštát. I don’t care that she and some mercenary or made up npcs are talking about anything together. I only care about the plot when it’s with characters I know. That’s why I read fanfiction and not buy a book. That’s not to say the fics are bad themselves. Usually fics that go the extra mile with research and thoughtful dialogues are the best in fact. I’m not criticizing the fics or the people behind them at all. It just annoys me to have to skip sometimes full chapters dedicated to characters I don’t know and don’t care about, because when I read fanfic I want characters I know and love. Or even hate. Hell make full chapters about Hanush being his loud, annoying self, and making Hans’s life hell and I’ll be happy. Because I know these characters and I’m invested. I’m also curious to see if anyone thinks similarly.
