MOST recurrent headaches are migraine headaches.

"migraine" does not mean "extremely painful headache." it is a type and source of pain, not a degree of pain. migraines can also include some or all of the following: fatigue, sensitivity to light and sound, visual auras, nausea or vomiting, dizziness, cognitive impairment, etc. these symptoms can be mild or severe and it may actually be difficult to determine if you have them. (who wants a bright light in their eyes during a headache?? i thought that's just how headaches were lmao.)

this is important because while aspirin, NSAIDs like ibuprofren, and other over-the-counter pain meds can effectively alleviate migraine pain, getting diagnosed with migraines allows for a wider range of treatments and preventatives.

it's also important because, in my opinion, your average general practice doctor is not equipped to diagnose you with chronic migraine. don't go to one expecting them to. a neurologist with migraine specialty is a better option, although a regular doctor can still be useful if they listen to you lol.

my life would be miserable and unmanageable without sumatriptan. and i never would have gotten a prescription for sumatriptan if i hadn't gone to my GP and said, "i have migraines and want to try migraine medicine," even though at the time i wasn't 100% sure that was true.

[Posting 9/11/19] Hey, everyone! You may have seen my last donation post going around, unfortunately I have to remake the entire post because Tumblr is an amazing website and I didn't crop out my hospital bracelet last time. On 8/26/19 I was driving my girlfriend home from work. I had quit my extremely stressful sales job the Friday before and this was 3 hours after my car (2019, 4k miles) passed inspection with Uber so I could work and hopefully have a slightly less stressful job with flexible hours so I could focus on securing an apprenticeship at a tattoo parlor. Unfortunately, as I was driving down this road, an older gentleman decided that stop signs don't apply to him. He accelerated directly into my vehicle. I noticed a split second before the crash and attempted to brake and shift into lower gear. This caught my face on either the steering wheel, airbag, or lovely combination of the both of them, leaving me with an injury to my eyeball and a very fractured nose. My right (dominant) arm remained on the gearshift while the rest of me moved forward in the collision. I fractured my right elbow as a result.

Unfortunately, I was unable to afford personal injury protection or underinsured motorist protection on my car insurance. I've spoken with a lawyer who has told me that this means the maximum settlement I can get (and probably will get) from insurance is 25k. This includes what they're paying for my vehicle and my injuries. Unfortunately, my injuries have included an ambulance ride, a CT scan taken at the ER, a set of x-rays taken at the ER, numerous follow up appointments, medication, additional imaging, and now I've been informed that I need surgery to reconstruct my nose as the bones are definitely Not Where They're Supposed To Be. So now that 25k has to go to paying off my car (not worried, have GAP insurance), paying all my medical bills, getting another vehicle and making an insurance premium, compensation for time out of work, and Literally Everything That Requires Money Like Food And Shit.

I want to thank everyone who donated and shared the last post. I have a total of $500 to my name right now and I'm so so so so so grateful that everyone has helped me afford pain alternatives (I use topical and ingested CBD. I was prescribed Vicodin, but due to a family history of... severe opioid dependency I don't like to use them & they don't help with my eye ball), food, and even words of support and advice. I was planning on camming to make up the difference with bills but with an upcoming face surgery & the swelling & recovery time I'm.... not sure how that's going to go. If you have anything to spare that could help me get through this, I only have paypal, $10 is a few days worth of busses to run errands. I'm terrified about not making rent next month due to the fact that we're having a roommate change and there is now One employed person in out apartment.

i’m gonna. keep this short. if i can. i was originally going to fill in details about why exactly i was in court about the house last week but i. do not have the energy. (TLDR: mom tried to buy house, got scammed) 

i’m losing my house, which i had expected honestly, and i only have four months to raise the funds to move and find a place to move to. a week ago i was pumped about it because i’m job hunting, my health is better, etcetc

mom broke her wrist on sunday. 

it’s now tuesday at 8AM and i’ve only had 3 hours of sleep since i woke up sunday. i’m literally having to do everything for her right now and it’s leaving me with nothing left mentally/physically/emotionally to get started on this other stuff. i’m still aiming to get a job before the end of october. i’m not saying i’m not going to, but i’m just. 

there’s 22 dollars left in the bank. 

i only have a quarter tank of gas. 

it was 40+ for her meds yesterday, she has three doctors appointments already between now and next friday which is another 50 dollars in copayments.

please i don’t know what to do. i don’t have anything left to fucking give right now, i’m sorry, but i just don’t and i don’t know what i’m going to do. 

i was going to make this post to be a general fundraiser for moving funds, which i need, but right now i just need to be able to fucking survive until the EBT drops on the 7th. i’m not completely out of food or anything it’s just now mom can’t eat literally anything we got on the last grocery order!! and i need pads because she’s been using mine, and i desperately need my omeperazole for my GERD, which is $9.50. i haven’t had it in months and my stomach acid is just fucking searing my throat and it making it hard for me to eat. 

please at least boost this if nothing else i’m so goddamned fucking sorry i keep having to do this but everything is happening all at once and i’m literally the only person that can do anything about it right now and i’m at my limit!!

I’ve been having bummed cigarettes for breakfast and scavenged pizza crusts for lunch, there’s no water in my whole neighborhood until Sunday, my anxiety levels are off the charts which makes it extremely difficult for me to go out and panhandle. my former partner has money that was sent to us for a show we played, but he’s not answering my messages or calls and has no intention of giving me any of that money.

I live in Mexico. most of you handle dollars where you live. if you had by chance any spare amount of money, no matter how small, it would really make a huge difference for me because it would translate into a significant amount in pesos.
