been thinking about death today and i'm imagining it to be the most boring thing in the world, 1) boring as in too predictable since it's literally inevitable and 2) as in it's probably just like falling asleep and that's it. some will try to fight sleep because they wanna stay awake longer, some are tired will welcome it like a gentle hug after a long day, some won't even notice it happening to them, some will get a little dream of all their loved ones in-between being awake and nothingess, some won't etc. you just don't get to wake up and that's it. the sheer banality and boringness of it is not a comforting thought at all, it actually pisses me off more that anything, but it does make the whole 'treat every day like it's your last and enjoy life' spiel hit harder tbh. bc at one day you just won't get to wake up and that's it
