i HATE HATE HATE how people make different versions of books. Why would you ever change the words of the author? it was written like that SPECIFICALLY. “oh but it helps with comprehension” YOU KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IF YOU CANT COMPREHEND IT?? LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBOOK AND READ ALONG (as long as your physical copy and audiobook are from the same version of the book!!) and most importantly, READ MORE!! the only way to learn how to comprehend more complex text is to ACTUALLY READ IT AND THINK ABOUT IT! and there is no harm in looking up what some things may mean, but you will never learn if you only read the dumbed down versions of books.
