Of the 4 brothers, Yonji is the only one who ever used "watashi" 私. The others only ever uses "ore" (俺/おれ).

The default for men in One Piece tends to be "ore", while 私 tends to be for formal/fancy style of talking (like the way Shamrock talks) or for girls (who usually speaks more polite). Funny thing is, even Ichiji who speaks the most formal of the 4 still uses "ore". Only Judge also uses "watashi" (because he's Royal‼️ and Very Formal‼️) and Reiju (because girl).

I had seen some Japanese readers wonder about it too. They were saying maybe the setup is that Yonji uses more formal language when talking to "outsiders", and then uses more casual with his own family.

Like in the whole of chapter 826 Yonji uses "watashi", even when angry at Reiju, but during the wedding he then changes to "ore". He kind of doesn't say "I" very often, though, so I can't tell what is his "normal" speech pattern (Japanese language often leave out pronouns).

I've mentioned before that I think Ichiji is just forced to talk like that because Crown Prince/heir, but if he's allowed to talk naturally he is actually very rough and thuggish (details here and here). Maybe actually all of them are forced to be polite outside. I'm only not sure because there's not enough example of Niji talking to outside people.

Or maybe Oda-sensei actually just completely forgot and messed up.

In the original rough draft he had designated each brother to have a different "I", with Yonji's default being "watashi", but then seems to have changed his mind and did... whatever this ended up being. Like in this rough draft Niji's "I" was supposed to be "oira", but he never ended up saying that at all in the final manga. So who knows, maybe sensei forgot, or got mixed up with his own old drafts, it's not impossible.

They’d basically be pro-Germa propaganda comics. They’d portray them as superheroes, with Sora, Warrior of the Sea, as the main villain.

They're based on actual comic book covers, though I don't remember which ones lol. I think Niji's is a Flash cover and Yonji's is a Red Hood or Deadpool one, but I'm not sure.

Because they fill up 40% of my brain waaagh. most of these are for when theyre kids (/when zanka is a baby)

— i think they all have similar, if not identical, smiles. i know we've seen zanka's smile in canon but i have this feeling they're all downturned and sometimes a little crooked!

— they invented a secret written language when they were younger; zanka doesn't remember it, but kyouka and goka sometimes find their letters to one another while cleaning. deep down, it makes them sad to not remember what any of them had been saying to one another, because they lost the “decoder” sheet a long time ago

— they all had/have the same humor. especially when they were kids, they would all giggle at the same time at the same things

— i think at some point they would've found the “ka” syllable in their names to be irritating, so they cut them out when speaking to each other (“kyou,” “go,” “zan”). except goka got really angry that every time either kyouka or zanka would say the word “go,” he would mistake it for his name, so they stopped doing it

— all three have climbed onto the roof of their house. kyouka has never fallen and neither has zanka (due to his older siblings grabbing him). goka has fallen once and it left a faint scar on his knee that he's still a little embarrassed about
